Epic Games "stole" my "free" game
I got this free on the Epic Store and recently uninstalled it to free up some space and now it's gone from my Epic account library!

Has anyone else had this game disappear from their Epic library after uninstalling it?

I've contacted them, they haven't got back to me yet, i would still like to hear from people who have had this same issue to see how widespread it is.

Thats funny, here "solving" problems from the epic store... nice start...

I was actually more curious who else had the same issue rather than solving the problem on steam, i doubt i'm gonna get the game back, i don't think Epic cares about accounts like mine that just signed up to their store for the free games lol

The Epic store customer service department is run by Hellen Waite. If you have any problems go to Hellen Waite.

Well, sorry to hear about that. It just shows what we already know ... Epic Store = not that great. (What they doing right now - with Subnautica and Metro Exodus - is just baiting as many players as they can to use their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ platform ... instead of setting up an acceptable plattform first - that should show you more than enough what they really think of customers)

If you don't get it back, tell them good bye and get it on steam - devs still updating their game (there is an engine upgrade live, via experimental right now). It is definitely worth it.

@all: He might ask here on steam forums, because, from what I know, Epic Store doesn't have a forum - because "less toxic environment" *cough* etc pp. ;)

Yeah thanks man, can't disagree with this, it put me off ever actually buying a game from the Epic store, i have never had a game just disappear on me on Steam.

@Conker: I had a similar problem where I had gotten this game for free back in December, never installed it, and then found it wasn't in my library a couple of months later. Turns out I had purchased this game with a different epic games account than what I was currently using. I had bought the game for free with one account, but had been using a different account for my other games. I was under the impression that I only had the one account because I still had super meat boy in my library which I had also gotten for free in December. The Epic Games Launcher will display all installed games you have on your PC, even if they are not tied to your current epic account. You probably purchased the game with an old account, installed it, and started using a new account before uninstalling the game.

Maybe try and see if you gotten Subnautica with a different account. Don't bother looking for receipts in your email, as I never received any for any of the games I have with epic. I tried to recover my password for all my emails until I finally got lucky. When I logged in with the old account, Subnautica was there in my library waiting to be installed

Hopefully that's all it is. Playing the game now and it's awesome.

Good luck.
