There's one hidden in the game. And because it can (sometimes) play music, it's the best one.

You can only buy them off steam, or get a code from the person who the plates are made for. I think you can request to have one made for you but there not cheap.

Ignore Amanoob105. There isn't one hidden in the game. Hullplates are either purchased or given away by the devs. I got my special edition one years ago back in October 2014 when I first purchased the game upon pre-release. All the other YouTuber and the diorama plates were made for those people to be given out to fans. Back at the beginning of the year, when the game came out of Early Access, Obraxis gave a bunch of them away on Discord during the live stream event.

The game always listed it as one once you find it. So, that's what I've been calling it.

It was meant to be one, but because they couldn't get ahold of the person meant to get the codes to pass it out, the devs just placed in the game.

There are also mods that unlock all Hull Plates and add some additional ones. You can even ask one modder to make you your own Hull Plate.

There's no longer a need for that.
You can just make your own personalized hull plate yourself and it really isn't hard.
