Do you retain your last saved game if you....
I'm ready to finish the game...have everything completed and I'm about to leave the planet....but...

It was mentioned and correct me if I'm wrong, that once a player escapes and finishes the game, that his or her's last game save is wiped ?

Which to my understanding if that's the case, everything that I built will be gone and I'd have to start a new game from scratch....is this correct ?........:steamsad:

I very much want to remain in my current game to continue to expand my 2 bases and do more exploring now that I've beaten the game.

But if this is how it works, I'll leave my escape for later on so I don't lose my progression and can continue in my current game until I'm ready to leave......

Whoever told you that lied. You just load your last save.

I agree whoever told you that is full of it. Save right before you load your time capsule. That way you still have the stuff that you're going to put in it also. After you launch the rocket you can reload the save and continue building and playing that particular game. And you'll have a pretty view of a giant rocket sitting on the ocean LOL.

After awhile you just get to the point where you don't even launch the rocket.

Imagine covering the ocean in rocket launch platforms as a challenge so you couldn't breathe using the surface. It would make a good challenge.
