Noble Empire, I will help you with the Thompson (my most favorite submachine gun). I have done more research, updated my post, and corrected some errors (sorry, I was confused by some claims in manuals and videos).
The Thompson submachine gun in the game is not the M1928A1 model, but the M1921AC model. The actuator, the ejector, the buffer assembly, and the recoil spring are from the M1921AC model.
Only the Thompsons made before and during the Second World War are included in this post. I will not include the M1/M1A1, post war, and civilian versions.
The M1921 family:
- The rate of fire is 800 shots per minute.
- It accepts the Type C drum magazines of 100 cartridges.
- Its buffer assembly consists of the buffer, the separate buffer pilot, and the 18 fiber discs (also called pads or washers; they are inserted into the buffer).
The M1921 is the standard model. The M1921A is the M1921 with a different name. It was introduced in 1926.
The M1921AC is the M1921A with the Cutts compensator. Also introduced in 1926.
The M1928 family:
- The rate of fire is 600 shots per minute.
- It cannot accept the Type C drum magazines of 100 cartridges.
- It accepts the Type L drum magazines of 50 cartridges, but only those with the "wind to 9 clicks" marking.
- Its buffer assembly consists of the buffer (the buffer and the buffer pilot are a one piece part) and the singe fiber disc for the buffer.
The M1928A is the standard model. The M1928AC is the M1928A with the Cutts compensator.
The M1928 Navy is the M1928AC with the horizontal handguard, the sling, and the sling swivels.
The M1928A1 is the M1928 Navy with a different name and the simplified ejector.
Parts:
- The M1921 and the M1928 families have different actuators, buffers assemblies, fiber discs for buffers, and recoil springs.
- Box magazines, firing pin springs, and trips actually appear to be interchangeable (I have not found any differences between them; let me know if you disagree) between the M1921 and the M1928 families.
- The shoulder stock reinforcing bolt with its nut and the washer are not standard parts for the M1921 and the M1928 families, but for the Thompson M1 and the M1A1 submachine guns.
- The Blish lock is made out of bronze (not brass).
- The shoulder stock assembly in the game is incorrect and should be updated.
- The oil can should be included in the game. It is stored in the shoulder stock.
The M1921 actuator: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e8/Thompson_bolt_M1921.jpgThe M1928 actuator: sarcoinc.com/1928-thompson-actuator-original-gig/
The drum magazine model is damaged in the game:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2017823433
Operation:
The Thompson submachine gun is an open bolt weapon.
- If the box magazine is inserted, the trip prevents the actuator to move forward after firing the last shot (regardless of the fire mode; if the box magazine is still inserted, the actuator will not move forward if you pull the trigger again or hold it after firing the last shot).
- With the drum magazines, the actuator is held in the rear position after firing the last shot (regardless of the fire mode, but it will move forward if you pull the trigger again (regardless of the fire mode) or hold it after firing the last shot (when the fully automatic fire mode is selected).
- The fire selector lever can be rotated from the semi-automatic to the fully automatic position when the actuator is in the forward position, but not the other way around. In the game, the fire selector lever can incorrectly be rotated (by clicking on it) from the fully automatic to the semi-automatic position when the actuator is in the forward position. Another error in the game: when you empty a magazine in the fully automatic fire mode and rotate the fire selector lever to the semi-automatic position, the actuator instantly moves to the rear position.
The correct and safe unloading procedure for open bolt models:- First, point the weapon in a safe direction.
- Pull the actuator handle all the way to the rear.
- Rotate the safety lever to the "Safe" position towards the shoulder stock.
- Remove the magazine.
- Check the chamber. If there is a cartridge or a case, remove it.
- Rotate the safety lever to the "Fire" position towards the muzzle.
- To safely deco ck the hammer, grab and hold the actuator handle with your hand, then, at the same time, pull the trigger and let the actuator move forward slowly by holding it with your hand.
I would never dry fire any Thompson submachine guns because they are old and very valuable. Here are Thompson manuals, patents, links, and videos:

If you want the M1921AC model to be in the game, you have to:
- Remove the sling swivel from the shoulder stock. Update the shoulder stock, the drum magazine, and the buffer assemblies. Add the oil can.
- Update animations, textures (you do not have to create HD textures), text, and pictures in the game.
But if you want the true M1928A1 to be in the game, then you have to:- Reduce the rate of fire to 600 shots per minute.
- Make the horizontal handguard (instead of the handguard with the front grip) installed by default. Add the actuator, the ejector, the buffer assembly, and the recoil spring from the M1928A1 model. Update the shoulder stock and the drum magazine assemblies. Add the oil can and the sling. Make the front sling swivel removable.
- Update animations, textures (you do not have to create HD textures), text, and pictures in the game.
If I am not mistaken, most Thompsons have a blued finish. Personally, I prefer the M1921AC model because it shoots faster and accepts the Type C drum magazines. It would be also very nice if we could adjust the rear sight for the range. The sounds of the Thompson in the game are not perfect, but very acceptable. Thanks for the award, even though I don't deserve it.
The bolt of the M1921 and the M1928 families (as always, I only mean selective fire, open bolt models) has two sear notches, and the bolt assembly can be retracted to two positions.
When the bolt assembly is retracted all the way to the rear (two clicks are heard), the bolt is held by the sear which engages the front sear notch in front of the Blish lock.
When the bolt assembly is retracted to the front position (one click is heard; not to be confused with the position when the bolt assembly is closed), the bolt is held by the sear which engages the rear sear notch below the Blish lock.
When the bolt assembly moves to the rear after firing a low pressure cartridge, the bolt is caught by the sear which engages the rear sear notch and holds the bolt assembly in the front retracted position.

unfortunately, this model still hasn't been fixed.
Have you seen the references for the Mauser Schnellfeuer-Pistole, the Steyr-Solothurn MP34(ö), the Heckler & Koch G11, and the Glock 18 below?

If everything will be fine, I will provide information and references for the MG34 and the Colt M4. They need to be fixed and improved too.
