Worth paying full price?
Yo family, is this worth paying the full price, or should I wait a year or so for a sale? I love the series, but I'm not used to paying full price. Steam sales have warped my brain machine.

I personally think it's worth full price, but you might wanna just wait for a sale
I got the Deluxe Edition at full price and I do not regret it. I've got over 80 hours in the game and am really enjoying myself. I won't lie; there is jank. The game has crashed on me at least four times. But it's ticking all my boxes. Lots of exploring/wandering to do. Random quests to find. Loot in caves or grabbed from people's houses. Ambient dialogue from citizens that wander around on a routine.

You gotta love the jank, thats what makes the original so special.
I bought the original years ago... and after 45 hours of game play ALL my Saves were Corrupted, and if I wanted to play I had to start over from scratch. I was not happy; and chose to move on to other games. When I saw this remastered version I was (am) hoping whatever caused the corruption was fixed. I'm 140 hours in... and no Problems ... So Far.

I say all of that to say: I paid full price Twice... and as long as I make it to the End, I have No Regrets!!! It's Not Skyrim, but I'm loving this game!!! It does have a 'Bit'of an Archaic feel to it... but under the circumstances, I think that is to be expected.

Obviously it's always better to wait for a sale... but if you're looking for something today, I don't believe you'll regret full price on this game. But again... I can only speak for myself :).

how many times did you buy gtav first of all. and yeah 50 is a steal if you've never played. the extra ten isn't anything special so don't bother unless you're hooked with nothing else to do. 360 launch title with an actual render distance and if you're feeling froggy look at anti-piss visual mods.
other than than that yeah. 50 is worth it

Honestly, even if we're not accounting for nostalgia I'd say yeah. It's a reasonable price $30 less than most releases with dozens of hours of content and plenty of re-playability. Not to mention it's a straight upgrade from the OG version.
It's worth it, but there's no reason to pay full price. You can always get it discounted on Fanatical, GMG, and probably Humble. But the greater question is whether you would play it immediately or not. The answer to that is the answer to your OP question.

Sadly it still has problems

Looks like it still has the memory leak issues the original often did.

There are also a number of other bugs that the original had that are still present.

If it were optimized correctly (or at all) and didn't have serious functionality issues like BIG memory leak and culling issues? Yes.

Right now? No.
No. I regret buying it at full price. 20 bucks at most, otherwise just buy the original for 5 bucks.

If you absolutely love Oblivion then yes. If you have only heard of the game and have never played through it yourself go and get the game on Gamepass for $15 dollars for two weeks and then decide

Its worth more than full price which is why I bought the deluxe edition.

I played OG OB on launch on XB. I bought it again on PC. I paid full price both times. And I paid full price for this remaster. No regrets. If you started with Skyrim, this is probably the better of the two versions to go with. Original is very dated in appearance, even with mods.
