Levelling up is too fast

Is there a way, and without mods, to slow down the level progression in Oblivion Remastered?
I'm talkin' about the way the major and minor skills increase their level, which is too fast for me

You no longer lose anything if you just don't go to sleep.
If you want skills to level slower...They'll level slow enough the higher they get.

I don't think it is. I've completed all the guilds, and Isles which landed me around level 26, which is actually a lower level than my character on the OG game with the same amount of progress. They were 31.

I'm 31 and only finished Thieves, Dark Brotherhood and did most of Mages guild. But I also love walking around outside.

If you lower the difficulty, enemies will have less health. You get XP for every hit on an enemy so less health is less XP, at least for combat skills.

This existed in OG as well. It slows down a bit once you're passed 50. But yeah, it's always been a major complaint, especially for Athletics and Acrobatics.

Yeah. Just make all the skills you don't plan to use your major skills.
Without mods that's all you can do.
