Will the game get an optimization patch?
For now the game is a complete mess

It works bad on my machine, it works bad on Steamdeck(even though it's verified) it lags, it stutters, it crashes every 2 minutes

Literally unplayable

I would love to hear if you guys have any options/mods to fix the crashing problem

- Graphics Settings -
Window Mode - Fullscreen
Resolution - 1920x1080
V-Sync - Off
Frame Rate Limit - Uncapped
Show VRAM - Off
Motion Blur - Off
Screen Space Reflections - On

-Quality-
Everything is on High setting
Lumen Hardware RT - Off
Lumen Hardware Lighting Mode - Low
Lumen Software RT Quality - Low
Upscaling Technique - FSR
FSR3 Mode - Balanced
FSR3 Sharpness - 50
FSR3 Frame Generation - Off

Try these Settings and see if that helps you. Also, put Brightness to 0 (right in the middle), if you haven't already. That'll make it so the environment looks more realistic, but more importantly, it'll make it to where if you use Nighteye, it won't look like a light is blinding you. These changes have helped quite a few people already with their performance and the game still looks fantastic.

Side note, if you're an Archer and leveling Marksman, I would highly suggest that once you reach Expert Marksman and have the ability to "Paralyze" your enemies, to go back into Settings here and turn V-Sync back to On, this might help for those Paralyze crashes that have been happening to people until they patch it. But what most players have been needing to do is once you Paralyze and enemy, then you finish it off by some other means, either with Spells, Blade, Blunt, or Hand to Hand, so you don't crash.

Side note, maybe stop using the Sprint. I think that is what is messing up a lot of people, when they're Sprinting, their PC struggling to load everything, and crashes. Just a theory. I don't run a top notch PC, but tweaked on the Settings to get everything just right where there's no lag, no stuttering, no crashes, and loading screen is pretty fast. My Speed is 50, my Light and Heavy Armor is Mastered and my Athletics is Mastered so I move pretty damn fast, but I never use Sprint and everything loads up just fine as I move. I'm 80 hours in and no crashes.

Can't help you there, 44 hours, zero crash on my side.
But yes, bethesda is aware of the issues and they working on a patch, accordingly to UESP wiki.

THANK U
anyone got any idea whats up, im running a msi i5 rtx 3050 16gb ram (i play helldivers2 with no issues on high quality) and oblivion barely runs at 30-32 fps at the lowest setting, its horrible. anyone got an idea what i gotta do, ik i should ugrade my ram but that cant be the only issue can it?
For me, the game only crashes, when fast traveling or when I want to go through a door. The bug already existed in the old game! Unplayable up-to-date.
https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/183 double package here really helps
just got to set global illumination to low
Tr0n May 3 @ 6:04am
4060 1080p
low everywhere, no dlss or with perf dlss (or dlaa)
30-40 fps

2080S 1440p
low everywhere, dlss, perf dlaa
60 fps

Explain ?

30 fps it's nealry unplayable in low with a 4060 who is widely better than my 2080S
Disable forced RayTracing by adding this to your engine.ini for a nice FPS boost:

[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.Lumen.DiffuseIndirect.Allow=0

[ConsoleVariables]
r.Lumen.DiffuseIndirect.Allow=0

I don't know what you people expect. Could it be that you let the computer measure the framerate because it is way over what you would recognize with your bare eyes? I play every game on a ryzen9 mini computer without a dedicated GPU and it runs just fine. But I'm pretty sure you would complain nevertheless.
It's the lumen the issue.
I'm playing with this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/510

There are some option: Lumen totally disabled or it enables the Lumen indoor but disabled it Outside, using a DFAO to get a better visual.

With this mod I can finally play it at almost 60 FPS everywhere without stuttering on my RX 6650 XT.

I can't believe that they won't let you disable the lumen in the game menu.

Mhm, sure.
I expect eventually a patch aimed to reduce the stutter from the background loading of data as much as possible on the majority of devices, some crash fixes and tweaks.

I would not expect major increases to base frame rate on most devices.

I do not think this will ever be one of the most perfomant games running as it does across two very different engines.

Myself I'm playing it pretty happily as is frame rates are good enough and stutter is minimal for me.

I literally cant play the game and I meet recommended specs lmao.

Tried reinstalling operating systems, going from windows 11 -> 10, tried multiple nvidia drivers using ddu uninstaller, set all settings to low restart, set all settings to ultra, tried the config file off mod nexus.

Absolutely nothing worked.

what are ur specs, mine are MSI i5 RTX 3050 16 gb ram...games barely scratching 32 fps at the very lowest settings, even throwing bs like "not running on ssd and saying i have low memory "4gb , need 6gb or more. ive tried damn near everything except bringing it to a computer nerd
