Nvidia driver 576.28 causes endless crashes
I installed the new driver this morning and tried for an hour to get the game to actually load my saves. Once it did it only runs for a minute or so before the game stutters, freezes, and crashes.

Reverting to the previous Nvidia driver from April 16 (576.02) fixes the issue.

I've stayed on 566.33 because everything I've read about nvidia drivers for the past few months have been nothing but bad things and tales of woe.

I tried the latest driver, and reverted to the previous driver purely because someone said performance was better, and it's been no different for me. I crash every hour or so like clockwork presumably to memory leak. Sometimes I crash on level transition if I alt tabbed the game before-hand. There are certain things that if you do them too fast can cause the game to crash, like creating potion, sometimes dropping stuff on the ground.

I feel like Nvidia is doing it on purpose at this point. I think my next build is going to be 100% AMD.

Based, nvidia is just an L factory at this point, while AMD is gaining traction.

UE5 is definitely a massive issue too, it has performance and stability issues in EVERY game.

Everyone knows UE is crap. Nvidia never used to be this bad is the point

I believe the driver you reverted to has the capacity to stop reading temps on the GPU which causes problems with fan curves.

driver 572.83 released Tue, March 18th, seems working best for me. Have yet to install the newest release and had to rollback from the other April 16th release

Edit:
I installed the latest Nvidia driver update, 576.28, and recompiled shaders by deleting the save_settings.sav file located in:

C:\Users\(yourusername)\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\SaveGames

..as I have seen many others suggest, and so far idk.. it's stable, and tbh, seems a little more fps with this update, for me personally. Just like idk 5 - 10+ more fps than before? so instead of average 20-40 it's like 25-55+.. which, imho, is acceptable. not great but playable

Experience will vary from person to person, PC setup to PC setup.. etc...

I find that enabling FSR performance with frame gen helped greatly and still looks pretty good. And, the input lag is not nearly as bad or noticeable as with it on Balanced or Quality

I've been running 576.28 for several hours with no problems using an RTX 3080.

Downgraded from 576.28 to 576.02. RTX 5070. Before downgrade game was unplayable.

576.28 is working fine for me. Was lagging pretty hard for 5 minutes, though that was just shaders, smoothed out and seems to be running better than the previous drivers.

Well they supposedly alledgedly fixed some stuff in some games which I don't play... This latest driver didn't fix anything for 5080, not the constant flickering, not the horrible non playable performance in oblivion.
