Sample outdoor footage (performance).
So everyone keeps telling me this game hitches so much that it is unplayable and that my experiences with it are impossible. So I took a few minutes of footage. Just me moving across the landscape toward my current objective. Nothing fancy. Is it 100% hitching free? No. Is it hitching badly and constantly? No.

So yeah. Your mileage is going to vary drastically from one PC to the next. Yesterday I was getting 100-120 FPS without frame gen. Today playing around with frame gen and getting 120-300fps. Indoors for the higher stuff.

I'll post more if anyone wants it. Outdoors or indoors.

Without specs, settings, modifications, and tweaks, this will fall on deaf ears.

Settings and specs are in the YT video description.

I will add them here as well.

4070ti Super
5800X3D
64gb memory

2560x1080

All settings ultra
DLSS "balanced"

Framegen on/off - doesn't impact hitching. Tried it both ways and I can get more FPS if its on, but don't notice any graphical differences. At least to my untrained eye.

Good grief. Bumped off the front page in about 10 seconds for nothing but negative nancy posts.
yeah if i were to do a video i would show pretty much the same result @144fps.

tuf gaming z790+wifi

12th gen i9 12900k

64gb of ddr5 and im not even using its full speed, i have it at the default 4800 because i prefer stability, (the sticks can hit the 5600 mark of my i9 if i wanted to,)

and a 4070 super

literally running at 144 fps at all times on 1080p 16x9 but could go up a size to your monitor size as well and still see the same fps.
Can you show the FPS? Most people aren't having trouble with the FPS per se...it is the inconsistent frametimes and stutters that is the problem.

Let me see what I can come up with. The Steam FPS doesn't show even when toggled on when using the Steam recording option.

i have occasionally stutters but they are ok they feel like if a part of the map is loading in, like in the original.

i have 50 -90 fps with fsr 3 quality mode and a mix of high and mostly medium settings.
the only thing that is bit distracting is the ghosting caused by the framegen but i play with an controller so the movement is alot smoother and slower so the ghosting isnt as noticeable

spec
rx 6750 xt
ryzen 7 5800X3D
32gb ram
win 11
1440p res
