This game needs to be optimized
I think they did a good job overall but frames wise my rig isn't that old and its chugging in comparison to how my pc handles cyberpunk, the witcher 3, and batman: arkham knight.

My Specs: amd ryzen 5 2600 ; nvidia gtx 1660ti ; 32gbs RAM

Granted I do want to upgrade my hardware soon but my rig usually handles 1080p gaming pretty smoothly. Thoughts?

1660TI is obsolete. Those are my thoughts.

All of those game are old now. This game could use patches and hopefully we will see them or modders will mod in solutions themselves.

well your GPU does not even reach minimum requirements (literally, on the game page)
The minimum is a 1070 Ti which is, 23% superior to your 1660Ti.
I'm actually surprised you can play the game with it.

Considering others can not get this game to work. lol

He needs to share how he got this game to work on his old setup.

im sorry pall but not old?
2600: 2018
1660ti: 2019
your rig is at the maximum 7 years old. thats very old when it comes to tech.

yes this game needs an optimisation boost. and im saying this with a high end gpu and lower high end cpu

but you need a reality check if you think your rig isnt old for 2025 aaa games. cyberpunk released in 2020 btw. the witcher 3 in 2015. or in 2022 when you count the next gen update. and arkham knight.. pall, also 2015. those games are not an indicative of what your pc can and cant handle this day.

Also, different games can never be put together as a "my game can run that so it can run this too!" type of thing when it comes to old hardware.
the low requirement seem for low to med setting with dlss/fsr at performance mine a ryzen 5600x, rtx 3060, 32gb ram getting 120-80 fps at 1080p all high setting with dlss on Q.
it cant be optimized, the problem comes from UE5, the devs created high quality polygon and slap that in the game, guess what? fps tank....my advice, the devs need to stop making high quality polygon. Other option, gamer need to buy rtx 4080 minimum for 1080p 100fps ultra setting

My laptop runs this game like a potato, and it was made in 2022

Win 11
Intel i5 11400H Tiger lake
Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 4g VRAM
32g DDR4 ram

I think the limited VRAM is causing some slow down, because there is a warning when I turn on the game.

Such a bummer that even on the lowest settings, I still stumble between 5 and 30 frames. This laptop runs so many other games smooth as butter, such as Halo and Crysis Remastered. I didn't want to upgrade so soon.

Any thoughts on optimizing this laptop?...

I have a 5600x and 3070ti.

The game runs at 2k (DLSS upscaled) at anywhere from 15-90fps depending on where I am in the map.

I've just stopped playing for the time being. Its not fun to play a game where you're constantly entering areas where the game can barely run. Hopefully they address it soon or im just going to have to refund it.

Yeah I know it's an old rig but I was saying it's not THAT old. Other older games look better and run at 60 on my rig, but yeah it makes sense tho, it just shows me how important optimization is just as a casual gamer I guess. The longer a game is actively worked on the more they can scale down intensive features without losing the fidelity so it makes sense I just hope Bethesda keeps up on making it run as smooth as possible.
PS sorry about gamer moment im immature trying to work on it

Brother, your PC is outdated
Velovar Apr 24 @ 8:33am
You can try one of the mods that try to further optimize it, like these:
https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/39

https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/35

There is also one that disables Lumen (ray tracing)
I haven’t tried them (I luckily have new gpu), so see if any of those help and since you don’t have frame generation I would advise you to buy Lossless Scaling on Steam it’s super easy to use and cheap, and will work on all games.
Good luck

His pc may be outdated but I bet he can run games that look just as good at better frames. Let's not pretend as if UE5 doesn't have problems just because you can run it without problems. It's been a known thing for ages now.

I actually think it's impressive you run the game. Look at all those screaming the game is unoptimized and they can't run it on a series 3xxx, you proving them all wrong.
Powercrank Apr 24 @ 8:36am
"your pc is just outdated" spew the brainwashed consoomers who barely understand the medium they're participating in.

meanwhile games like red dead 2 look twice as good and run twice as good. the very reason this game requires such absurd specs in the first place is BECAUSE it's badly optimized. But please, keep defending your corporate overlords as they sell you badly made slop and demand you keep paying more and more to "upgrade" your PCs for it.
