Does the adoring fan still respawn?

Been a week in game for me since he died in an Oblivion gate instance and he hasn't come back yet.

just like in the original if he was in an oblivion gate when you closed it he will never come back even if he died because he will respawn in the exact same spot he died. The same thing happen if he wait 3 days in the same dungeon

I tried that exact thing. I took him inside the greater oblivion gate outside Kvatch and told him to stay put. After it closed, he was stood outside it looking at me like "that was fun. what next?"
