No clue, but there are workarounds. My native display resolution is 3840x2160, so I play in windowed at 2560x1440 and then use the Lossless Scaling app here on Steam to upscale it back to 4K and essentially make it a borderless window. This preserves my desktop HDR settings and looks phenomenal.

Usually if they have a patch from beta reports it appears within a few weeks of release. But I think this one is going to maybe take a bit longer. I'd expect June, certainly after Memorial Day (USA) at this point. They are aware of the issues and are working on them.

I am using RTX HDR and it looks pretty good. I've decided to crank the contrast level in that filter instead of the brightness level in game. Helps darken the image without losing any detail.
