Darkest Dungeon .exe fail

My Game will not start I was having problems before with this but it seemed to be (mostly) fixed using the 'disable display scaling on high DPI settings' option in the properties of the exe file. However since today I am getting the error

Hi!

Could have something to do with the recent update.

If you haven't already, please try verifying the integrity of the game cache. You do this as follows:

1. Go to your Steam Library
   
2. Right click -> Properties on Darkest Dungeon
   
3. Click the "Local Files" tab
   
4. Click on the "Verify Integrity of Game Cache..." button

If that doesn't help in combination with disabling the DPI scaling, then please report back here.

@marricketelaar - This is usually caused by the lack of a saved games directory. Please see this thread and make sure your save games have been copied over to the new location: http://steamcommunity.com/app/262060/discussions/0/618457398966078644/. I have checked and my saved game folder has copied and is in both locations as given in the thread, my problem still continues.

@marricketelaar - Sorry that didn't work. Just to confirm, the game ran okay for you before the update where we moved the saved game locations, correct?

Can you please e-mail us your system specs? Also, if it's a laptop, please include the make and model.

- In Steam, go to the Help menu
- Then go to "System Information"
- Just copy that all into a text file and send that to us

Can you also send the me contents of both the old and new saved game directories and their exact locations?

Hey, im having the same issue but i havent had it installed on this computer before. I have verified integrity cache, uninstalled and reinstalled and it gives me the same error as this threads title. darkest.exe has stopped worked... ive tried disabling the DPI scaling, run in compatability mode with my OS and as admin. @DeadShot - There are more recent video card drivers for the Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family available on the Intel site: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/.

I believe these are the ones you need:

I would try installing those, rebooting the machine and then relaunching the game. Also, make sure you remove the OpenGL compatibility check from the command-line options.

I applied some of the fixes suggested on the forums; Earlier I'd described a "hiccup" on returning from dungeons. I'd see a graphic of the town with no interaction prompts and the game would recover in about half a minute. The fixes made it work worse. Crash after exiting a dungeon all the time. The save game function occurs but the town doesn't refresh; No coach riders, no gear, no rehab or relaxation progress. Save is ruined. Here are the .exe crash details.

@Opuncjusz You're currently only running OpenGL 2.1, which is not officially supported (the minimum spec is 3.2), and your video card drivers are from July 2010.
