save game location?

I'm addicted.. the first step is admitting it.. but to my dismay, when I moved to my bed to play on my laptop instead of my computer, my game is not transfered over.. so that means its stored locally on the computer? :/

The saved games locations are:

PC
C:\Users\<your username>\Documents\Darkest

Mac
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Darkest

Sorry for the question, but there is nothing in my SavedGames folder. Only PartyofSin saves. Nothing more. Is there other location of darkest dungeon saves?

Its in the root of your Users folder. You're likely looking in the "My Documents\Saved Games" folder.

If you're looking in the Users\Saved Games folder, please try to manually create the folder. Otherwise try to do the Profile fix in the Master Fixes list

Its not a folder most users are aware of so it can be hard to find. I even did a double take trying to find it the first time :)

? I just got the game today and am having a crash after the first 2 brief logo videos, and hoping I can find a fix. Thanks much.

I don't know where it is for Mac, but on Windows my saves are here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\
Go inside the folder with your user ID (a long number).
Inside that is another folder called 262060.
You can copy what's inside that if you want to back up your saves.

Both answers are correct. The location depends on whether you have the native Steam version or the GoG version (which can be added to Steam, but puts the save games in your documents folder). If you have the Steam version, you shouldn't need to transfer the saves manually, though, as long as cloud saves are enabled.

this is for pirated version on old patch and this is the other way ------>>> C:\Users\youruser\Documents\Darkest
