Q: Where do I report any bugs I've encountered in the game?

A: Posted rewards will be on your Humble Download page. Visit the Humble Order Resender[www.humblebundle.com] and enter your email address. Some rewards won't be posted until later in development (e.g. Art Book, Adventuring Journal), but the Soundtrack is available now.

Q: Will the Merchant Class be available to all players and not just Kickstarter backers?
A: The class formerly known as the Merchant, is now called the Antiquarian[www.darkestdungeon.com] and available to everyone in the game. The only Class that is not available to all players is the Kickstarter Variant Class, called the Musketeer

Q: What are the 'Kickstarter Variant' and 'Lord Tier' Classes?
A: These were both Kickstarter rewards. The Kickstarter Variant is the Musketeer, which is a variant of the Arbalest core Class and exclusively available to KS backers who pledged at the Adventurer level ($49) or higher.

The Lord Tier Class is the Abomination, which was co-designed by the KS backer who pledged at the maximum Lord ($5,000) level. The Abomination is available to all players in the game and you can read more about it here.

Minimum Spec Requirements / OpenGL
Minimum Specs

In case you missed the minimum specs required for running our game on our Store page, here they are:

PC:
  • OS: Windows 7+
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Open GL 3.2+ Compliant
  • Hard Drive: 900 MB available space
  • Additional Notes: 1080p, 16:9 recommended

MAC:
  • OS: OSX 10.9+
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Open GL 3.2+ Compliant
  • Hard Drive: 900 MB available space
  • Additional Notes: 1080p, 16:9 recommended

How to Find Your System Specs / OpenGL version

If you don't know your system specs, here is a really easy way to find out:
  • In Steam, go to the Help menu
  • Then go to "System Information"
  • If you are specifically looking for your OpenGL version, there will be a section called "Video Card", and about 6 lines down, it will say "OpenGL version"

Win XP / OpenGL 2.1

As of build #7907 (released 03/27/2015) we have updated the game so that it should run on Windows XP and support OpenGL 2.1 (on both PC and Mac). However, we are not quite ready to change the minimum store requirements at this time.

Cheers,
The Red Hook Team
(Tyler, Chris, Brooks, Pierre and Keir)

Hi, i didn't realise that my computer (macbooc pro running osx 10.8.5) didn't meet the requirements to play your game. could i please have a refund? I'm sad to even ask because your game looks like a lot of fun, but it doesn't seem like I will be able to play it without changing my operating system (which i do not want to do).

You'd have to ask steam support about any refunds

This is extremely dissapointing. I've been waiting patiently for some sort of update regarding the openGL since release, and this is very unfortunate news to hear. I won't pointlessly beg for a refund or complain, but it's very upsetting to see the developers potentially neglecting an issue that prevents a great number of their supporters from enjoying the game. I hope you're able to work something out, but congratulations on an exceptionally awesome game regardless.

So... i found out my Opengl is 3.1... because im on a laptop.. so i spent 20$ for nothing. and spent like 2 hours trying to do everything to fix it.

EDIT: i also tried putting the command in the other thread in, but that didnt change anything.

Syukakuju Feb 6, 2015 @ 4:55am
strangely the game is working fine on my macbook pro 2010, the steam check says that i have OpenGL 2.1. well i'm happy :)

Sadly, OpenGL has cost a sale, as I only have OGL 3.1 on my laptop.. that's unfortunate to say the least. Very bummed. Can't imagine why this game couldn't have a software rendering mode.

well now... my laptop has 1st gen intel HD graphics from 2010 with opengl 2.1.

anyone else with this configuration have success?
Alrom Feb 6, 2015 @ 10:49am
Man, 0.1 version older opengl is the only thing holding me from grabbing this game. Well it's sad but I will patiently wait the day that I will be able to play this game. Be it because the devs managed to find a way to make older machines run it or when I eventually get a new pc... Which will take years considering my situation.

Neverthless, I wish the best luck for the guys at red hook.

Also, I may be wrong but if your video card is properly updated, even though steam says you can only run opengl 2.1, maybe you can run 3.2. I'm not sure.
verix Feb 6, 2015 @ 12:27pm
I'm happy to wait a while to see if they can make it work on OGL 3.0, but will i still be able to claim a refund if i wait or do i need to get on it now?

if you are on mavericks, you have opengl 3.2. My problem is that i dont and the devs aren't going to support my machine at any forseeable time so i really actually want my money back, i didn't give them 20 dollars just because i felt charitable.
Awesome! Feb 6, 2015 @ 2:50pm
you get one no questions asked refund from steam on your account. choose wisely.

and yea that 320m is opengl 3.3

Can anyone help? System Info shows, that I have OpenGL 4.5 , but the game still won't launch and says that I need OpenGL 3.2 or higher. I have no idea what to do.
