You may put a torch inside, if you're in the mood to try your luck against Death itself

put a torch in it and prepare for a hard fight ;)

If you put a torch in the red orb, you'll summon a boss. Be careful though: the boss is very difficult if you don't know how he works (and it can still be challenging even when you know what you're doing).

I remember giving this thing a torch on Week 2 of my campaign. What a fun time that was (not).

oh that. thats the "put a torch in me if you want to die" curio. The best idea would be to walk past it as if it dident exist unless you are

A: looking for it and are prepared for it. (still hard but you'll have a good group with trinkets)

B: feeling brave (you will regret it . Trust me)

The Red Orb is trouble!
The Red Orb does bad things!
Speak not of The Red Orb, or put a torch in it & let us know how it goes!

Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded? It literally says to put a torch in there in the description.

You place a torch and then a cake with unicorns and rainbows pop out. You then automically camp and all your heroes get healed fully and gets minus thirty stress. Everybody loves cakes, except bastards with diabetes. Sugar-free cakes then.

Actually, to activate it that is what you do...its just a question of whether that's something you want to do and I think we're generally not trying to spoil things here.

As straight an answer as I can give without giving too much away is to heed the warnings that if you do put a torch in it, be sure you are prepared for a very difficult fight. Only attempt it if your party is relatively sane and made up of characters that you do not mind losing. A strong party that can be buffed against Insanity and outfitted with the most helpful trinket balance is also recommneded.

never fight that guy it's not worth risking your guys

This red orb just annihilated my lvl6 party and left Leper with a very nasty case of PTSD, so there is that.

Depends, if you're up to it, you can get your hands on a few end game trinkets way before your hour, helps a lot

Do Not Taunt Happy Fun Orb.

Week 2 or 3 I tried it out... managed to wipe out the main thing but the summons basically picked me off at the end after everyone fell into a stress spiral. So annoying! Party wipe. I was really happy we murdered it at least.

It's a bit of a no win situation here. People come to the forum and complain that they put the torch in and get wrecked, and people call them stupid for doing that.

Then a guy sees one and doesn't just blindly throw a torch in, and actually asks what it's about.. and someone implies they are stupid.

I guess people are always stupid.
