Why all the sexy mods?

Not in a "Ew, boobies, Im too much of a gentleman to find this arousing" sense, Im just genuinely curious, what is it about this game that makes sexy skin mods so common? It just seems like this would be the last game people would make sexy mods for, so why?

If anyone who uses sexy mods or just anyone else who is interested could share their opinion that would be great.

I don't like sexy mods because many of them seem out of place. Anime waifus? Some half naked Red Riding Hood? No thanks.

Because joke mods are very clearly not meant to be taken seriously. "Sexy" mods aren't like that.

The first mod doesn't even have nudity from what i've Seen the people Just don't like it because they dislike how comicly large the chest is on the omen seeker (i'm fine with it) nobody is saying "violence good Nudity bad" Also Like to point out that some of the most subscribed item's are class mods like the hood, Fawn, and Hollow Which have partial nudity (well... they have a SFW patch but i don't see that on the most subscribed list ... unless i've missed then which could be possible) and a few people complain about the chest but Still.

And Well Muscarine mods was use to be on top list before :) was it?
And about SFW version was forced by idiots , Muscarine maybey really didnt wanted to make that SFW version but alright. .

There is a huge, wide, yawning gulf between nudity and sexuality. Topless Hellion or the Condena make sense in the same way the Siren's nudity does - it fits the themes of lack/loss of control in the same way the Flaggelant does - or the Thrall. Even without questioning artistic merit (which is a whole other kettle of fish) you can at least say that it fits the theme and the story that Darkest Dungeon is trying to tell and the world it is trying to build.

The same cannot be said for the Omen Seeker, or for "sexy anime Crusader" etc.

As for why Darkest Dungeon should be so prolific in sexualised mods over other games I'm not convinced that it has anything to do with the relationship between sex and horror (fear of the unknown/uncertainty). I think it is far simpler than that: Darkest Dungeon is one of the most easily modded games out there. Few people are going to spend fifty hours learning to code just to put tig ol' biddies in Mass Effect - but if it can all be done in half an hour then sure.

Oh definitely, skyrim has some good stuff, for me its more of a question based on how it just seems to conflict with the themes of darkest dungeon, and less why its so intense, which I dont think it is.

Also look up L4d2 ,Xcom 2 and rest of other games 's workshop , some game workshops/or non workshop website has mods of lore friendly some not, also have sexy mods,etc,. So what?

If tthe minds of young adjult males were not preoccupied with having sex and the minds of young adult females not preoccupied with having babies, the human race would be extinct. If mods are made for men there will be sexy women and if mods are made for women there will be cute child-like characters. Since both men and women play video games, both of these will be present in any game that allows modding.of characters. The ultimate combination of these two things to satisfy both is child-like female characters with sexy boobs and there are some games that feature only this.

@aardvarkpepper: I agree with your last point. Cute out-sells sex, but typically when your demographic is dominantly female (i.e. the mobile market). Things may have changed in the passed couple of years, but that was the trend. You can check out Theesa's 2015 document "Essential Facts about the computer and video game industry" that places a bunch of game sales information for that year into a nice little package.

You have a very simplistic view of nature here, I think a more accurate summary would be that human sexual instincts attract people to a certain image of an ideal partner, and also human parental instincts give them a drive to protect and raise youth, its not so much a "Boys look for breasts" and "Girls want to raise babies" thing, while I admit there are usually more instances of girls wanting to be mothers and guys wanting to find an attractive partner, that doesnt mean thats the only thing all guys or all girls want.

However I do agree with the idea that male sex drive is a primary factor in most of these mods being created, I just disagree with your theory that its exclusively males that want to look at sexy mods, whereas females would only want to raise kids, and also part of what bothered me about your post was "Child like female character with sexy boobs"....

That just sounds creepy on so many levels
