Got Baron invention
And yet too afraid to enter the Crimson Court in case of getting the blood curse. The level of infestation has grown to Medium, I've already lost one of my best heroes in Warrens after he was infected in the battle with vampire encounters - I've simply get rid of those who got corrupted with the curse, don't want the infection to spread in the hamlet or found those poor dead of the blood thrist.

The infection only spread if you put a "cursed" chara with with one who isn't in the same building. (Tavern, Abbey and Sanitarium)

The Curse is not that bad as long as you got enough blood. I worry more about the Fanatic than the curse itself. Most of my level 6 heroes are infected and I would not like to meet him in a champion level

Don't be afraid of the curse, if you get it, take advantage of it. For exemple: " oh a boss fight, I'll just drink this blood and get blood lust buffed" it's awesome;)

The fact is : Unless you dismiss everyone that get cursed (which is a huge throwback), you'll have to deal with the infection. Just build the district that allow you to get 2 vials of blood per week, then the curse is easily manageable

Super tip:

Plague Doctor,Jester,Grave Robber,Flagellant

So friggin op in the Courtyard.Have a hard time contracting the virus because I control every battle SOO GOOD that I did not know the skills of half the enemies until the very end.

Plague Doctor stuns so good especially with the Mirror Trinket and the other three synergize so well with each other that I often find myself having multiple turns for stress heal and stuff.I even let the flagellant on low health most of the time without worrying about a thing. With Martyrs Seal and a dodge trinket it gets really interesting.

And having any of those guys contract the virus is actually pretty damn good as they benefit extremely from it.
None of my heroes died because of the curse yet withing 60 Weeks. When in the Hamlet, they'll drink the blood automatically when ending the wasting status (as long as there is blood in your inventory). In the dungeon you'll have to give them blood. In stage 2 for Bloodlust, or in stage 3 (wasting) to avoid their death. In both cases they will return to stage one and live on.

The more significant problem is the Fanatic, when you're running out of "sane" heroes. That's the time to do the epic Courtyard dungeon, but it takes soo long that you may run out of the tickets, which you need to enter the Courtyard. Make sure you have enough of those, otherwise it will be difficult to get them, the more heroes are afflicted to the Curse (Fanatic).

I always keep 4 low level heroes for invitation farming. If they get the curse big deal, I'll just dismiss them. This helps minimize the curse spreading to your elite members, the guys that you spent money and locked quirks, while also avoiding the Fanatic( he doesn't show up in the courtyard AFAIK...or does he?).

Good strategy! I'll remember that. And no, he doesn't show up in the Courtyard after my experience. There i always take 3-4 cursed heroes with me, and he didn't show up within ~5 entries.

You're inevitably going to get the curse in the Courtyard and unless you like grinding, it's not practical to keep firing cursed people for Baron runs.

I kept my roster curse-free until infestation got high and I got 99238492384 invites. It sucks but I stockpiled blood and built the Sanguine Vintner as one of my first districts since I knew the inevitable was coming.

It's annoying to deal with but if you let your cursed heroes start wasting, that's the best time to have them drink up since they'll go from wasting to passive. I really dislike dealing with bloodlusted vampires due to them targeting my own people which causes nasty debuffs and randomly spending their turn doing whatever they want so I let them waste before having a sip.

Fanatic doesn't spawn in Courtyard, though I did fight him in the Warrens for my first time yesterday since I had brought 2 cursed heroes on a veteran dungeon. I had a crap party lineup (Leper, Hellion, Man at Arms and Plague Doctor) since I was trying to level them up to 4. The Fanatic had 149 hp.

I managed to kill the Fanatic on my first try regardless without anyone dying, though my hellion and doctor did get on death's door from the Pyre, he's not that hard. You fight him almost the same as you would fight the Hag since he's just a more melee-oriented, aggressive version of her.
