Is this a FULL LENGTH game compared to Borderlands 1 & 2?
I see lots of people whining about the price or how evil pre-orders are and such but relatively nothing out there, official or otherwise, mentioning if this is a FULL LENGTH retail Borderlands game.

What I mean by FULL LENGTH: Since it is the same price as Borderlands 1 & 2 was when they first came out, will it have the same scope, size, and playtime (around 25-40 hours for a single play through including side quests) as those games were on day one? A.K.A. Before a million dollars of DLC came out?

Personally, I would assume that for the $60 price, I could expect something on par with the play time and size 1 & 2 have… BUT… Over the last few years I have been burned too many times by popular game franchises riding the frothing fanboy, popularity wave, and see companies release short, half finished, DLC sized trash, at full price.

...

So is this comparable to Borderlands 1 & 2? Or is this a rip-off DLC "expansion" masquerading as a full retail game that can be finished in half the time, or less, of the other two games?

You can keep your pre-order and price bashing for the 6billion other threads on that, I just want to know if anyone knows what the scope, size, and playtime for this game is supposed to be when compared to the other 2 games.

The explanation given was "larger than BL1, smaller than BL2", so yes, I am to guess that you can expect a good 20 hours of gameplay from quests alone, and by nature of the franchise, another 100 hours or so of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with friends.

If you still don't feel like you could trust it, just wait after release so you can get proper reviews, you don't really lose much from waiting I guess.

Smaller than BL2 without the DLC, but just as big after those 250 dollars in DLC =)

Thank you. Thar's what I wanted to know. I likely will wait till after it is out for a bit to see if it is worth buying since I get a bit hesitant when a game has a low amount of information about it a month before release.

The game is going to look and feel a lot like BL2, except now you can jump higher and do butt stomps with four new characters that may/may not feel all that new. Whether you think that's worth another $60 is up to you.
