Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
Was Claptrap meant to be Hard Mode?
I've played two versions of this game, on PS4 and on Steam, and in both copies it seems like Claptrap goes down much, much quicker than any other character you can play as. Is it me, or is the game biased against Claptrap?

doing solo claptrap with middle tree , doing fine , but other characters have better dps skills , for survival the skill 'painful simulator is painful ' is the way to go

Hey, I appreciate the advice. I'm 16 levels in and put everything into the "Fragmented Fragtrap" tree, save for one point in the "I Love You, Guys!" tree. I'll give more attention to the middle tree from hereon.
Imo ' maniacal laughter ' is the best claptrap skill because with ice weapon ( shotguns /smg / laser blaster ) you freeze ennemies easily

I’m up to level 23 with my clap trap and started in the middle tree as well. Haven’t died (well, I’ve jumped of a few edges) from combat yet. I tried the top bar of the right tree for the sub routines as well. There okay, but manical laughter is just so awesome.
I die nonstop but I also 1-shot everything with claptrap. Try to get the cooldown reduction on his active so you can fully heal in emergencies. Also just keep one person alive near you that you can snipe real quick when you go down. Also cover blocks bullets (but that's boring).
He takes more corrosive damage since he is a robot.
Claptrap is the strongest char in the game though.

Yes, in Borderlands armor has a higher corrosive mutliplayer, flesh has a higher fire multiplayer, and shields have a higher shock multiplayer.
Claptrap is "armored" and also doesn't need to breathe, and the fire bonus can be kind of pointless when no one burns out in space.
I am in Ultimate Vault Hunter mode as Claptrap

The first tree is where to spend most of your skill points IMO
Safety First and maybe Fuzzy Logic from the third tree
Middle tree after you reach the cap skill of the first tree

Load n Splode + Start With a Bang + Tourge shotgun + fire rate and reload speed buffs + Second Wind (by Teldore) = you are almost invincible at close range until late game or high difficulty levels

Vaulthunter.exe can also destroy bosses in one activation, if you get Funzerker or Pirate Ship

One Last Thing will probably become my focus when I go to finish up UVHM because charging right up to enemies and killing all of them with novas is a tad too risky.
