So how does the dodge feel?
What turned me off of the first game within the first five minutes was the dodge feeling slow and ineffectual.

Haven't played the first game, but here dodge feels great and fluid.
And you can spam it as there's no stamina
Very responsive, almost a little too fast.
Also can use it to cancel attack.

its okay. Enemies can still 180 midattack and hit you after you dodged though. unreal. Also the parry mechanic doesnt work right. I have rebound the guard/parry keys, to my mouse and even tried a controller. If you release the guard/parry button and press it again too fast, either nothing will happen and youll keep your guard up when you should be parrying the next incoming attack or you will drop your guard completely and get 2 shot by basic enemies

i truly dont understand how anyone is playing this. WTF is the point of having a posture break mechanic if youre not even meant to parry all of the attacks. There are attacks that show a red icon that you can ONLY dodge.... so you would think all other attacks would be parryable. theyre not

its like they expect you to play this as some kind of mix between dark souls and a parry game. Parry, dodge, parry. Good luck fighting multiple enemies too. In Sekiro and all other parry games, if an enemy attacks from the side and sometimes even from behind, you can still parry the attack. You cant here. You can ONLY parry an attack that is DIRECTLY in front of you. Sometimes the hitboxes will even miss BARELY and leave you or the enemy whiffing, whenever youre expecting a parry or a hit. Throwing off the cadence of combat

the parry is just super unresponsive and the dodge can be made irrelevant due to enemy magnetization for their attacks. Works for you as well. You do NOT need to lock onto anything in this game. Youre attacks will simply attach magnetically to the nearest enemy when you press the attack button

I have only seen one person online make a video about it as well. Look it up. Mortal Shell 2 has bad magnet combat
