Is it just me, or are the puzzles super hard?
I'm still on world A and there are two puzzles I'm super stuck in and still have no idea how to solve them (on levels 6 and 7)

Also, I've read on the internet that the clone puzzles are the hardest, and I've not even near that yet, I only got the connectors and the jammers

The only puzzle games I've played are Portal and The Turing Test, they are a piece of cake near this...

Skip puzzles you can't solve yet and return to them later.

I tried. Still hasn't done any good though.

Taking a break can do wonders.

Well, it actually did, I completed all levels on world A without walkthroughs

I was having a big trouble with "biochrome", the name was confusing me because I thought I had to mixture the colors of the lasers somehow, but the answer was absurdely simple.

Yeah, some puzzles can be hard at first. (Especially the star puzzles!) My advice is to just be patient, take breaks as needed, and take advantage of the fact that you have a LOT of puzzles available to go after at most times.

As you play more, you'll get more familiar with the puzzles and the common threads that can be found in how they work. I believe that, even though it did take a long time, I was able to complete every puzzle necessary to complete the game except the last two (and I probably could have gotten those too, but as it was almost the end, I was overly impatient.)

The ones I hate the most are the ones with those drones that kill you. If you make a mistake, you have to start from the very beginning

At least at the others I can calmly try, make mistakes, try again. The ones with the drones I just want to skip. On world C now, world B was quite easy

The expansion is very difficult to do mainly because the area is so big... But overall sometimes puzzles gets easier the more you play it.

I thought Talos Principle had a great learning curve for the most part - it was the stars that were completely absurd. For one of them, I'd managed to find the key needed to unlock a jammer in world A2, I think, and it took me a solid 10 minutes just to find the door I was trying to jam. The stars are only sometimes about puzzles, and sometimes about checking every single nook and cranny, and I'm not a fan of that :S

Road to Gehenna, I remember, the puzzles were trickier, but the stars were easier, I think.

EDIT: Forgot to say, I thought Turing Test had an atrocious learning curve compared to Talos. I got stuck several times on Turing and ended up looking up a guide after 30 minutes of failed attempts in one room, only to find out the solution was a game mechanic I didn't know existed. Talos at least puts most things right in front of you and lets you figure out what works with what.

The stars I didn't even try to pick. I mean, if I saw one and saw how to pick it, I would (did it 3 times on the whole game), but seriously, they aren't worth the trouble, because the ending they give, IMO, is quite stupid. And it makes even more difficult to check every single nook and cranny without a minimap.

But seriously, you found The Turing Test difficult? I think it is one of the easiest puzzle games I've played, although it has some difficult ones (I only had to search on Youtube for the very last one). Overall Talos Principle is much more difficult.

I just finished the game, I didn't have to search on youtube as many times I thought. I did it immediately at the two last ones because I was already tired and they were really big and the ones with drones (Needing to restart from the very beginning every time a drone hit me was just something I couldn't handle)

the puzzles where you record yourself to do an action enabling you to carry on a step further i just cant get my head around...Area A is actually doable but it gets progressivly harder

They are tricky because they require forethought, and you can't just fiddle with things until it works. You have to keep starting over.

The big thing to remember though is that you effectively have double the amount of objects you seem to have. Not just two of you, but also double the cubes, jammers, etc.

I was struggling with them too, but one thing that really helped me was to think:
If there is a recorder, you have double the objects. If you have one "real" connector, you actually have two connectors. There is actually two of you. There are two cubes (four if there are two), and so on. So think about the solution with everything doubled.

Even so there are some really nasty ones.

Just keep in mind that half of the total potential items in recorder levels are temporary. Some of the solutions can get buggered up if you forget that and use the temporary items in the wrong places. There are a few levels where I sometimes botch it up and use the wrong items, then suddenly find myself stranded or I have to reset because of it.
