Any way to reduce the light glare?
I like the game, and I don't know if this has been asked before but the way the light of the game glares on surfaces ends up being real tough on my eyes (have somewhat of a light sensitivity), especially in the first world. Is there any way to tone it down without having to make the whole game look dark?

Yes, there is a way to customize the reflections, lens flares, brightness, etc... There are many many options to play around with. The menu for all of those is located at...

options > graphic options > performance > gpu speed > customize.

Play around with different options to achieve a more usable experience for you. Things like lens flare and reflections are a good start, but there are many different things that add to the entire scene render.

I messed around with the settings yet none of those I tried reduced the oppressive glare. In case you misunderstood, what I mean by glare is the light reflecting off some surfaces, especially if those surfaces happen to be brightly colored. The surface in question doesn't have to be reflective like water or mirrors. If you are familiar with snow glare, it's kinda like that.
And like I said, the only thing I have found that reduces it is to reduce the game brightness, but that of course makes the whole game dark making it hard to see what's going on.

Have you tried turning off the Bloom?

Yes, didn't fix it. It was one of the first options I tried.

I also forgot to mention that this glare is especially bad in dark areas that transition into bright ones. In those the light is really unbearable.
i've actually got into contact with danny (dev) about this, and at the time he said that he was working on a solution. i was also concerned about the glare of objects, especially when piecing together sigils (bright blue ones).

Just to be clear, this is what I meant. I'm not sure if it shows up properly in the screenshot just how strong the glare is, but this is one of the areas were I found it to be the worst.

There is a miriad of customizable settings for the video-card, CPU and GPU under the settings tab. Check them out.
