Report a translation problem
I did fix this and I believe it's something like Steam->Settings->Controller->General Controller Settings then disable the "XBox Configuration Support" but if that's wrong Google for how... also, the OPPOSITE solution (sigh) fixes the same problem in the game "Prey" so if I change it for Prey I have to change it back for The Talos Principle and vice versa. Aaaargh!
I'm very lucky that I have a good 50mbps connection and pay for unlimited data, but I fully understand the plight of those that don't have either or both.
I do, however, applaud your prompt and frank communication. I wish more developers would behave like you do.
No doubt most of this patch has identical data to the previous. Is this a limitation of steam's updater, or is it your processes?
So everyone had to redownload properly finalized content.
A bummer, I know.
