Chess board

Isn't this one clever? I assume the blocks to be highlighted on the device coincide with the chessmen and their allowable moves on the chessboard. If that is the case, I have yet to enter an acceptable combination. Should the board show one allowable move per piece or all possibilities? The latter seems less likely due to starting location of the knight. Or...am I overthinking this one?

You need to press all the spaces where the chess pieces can move!

I don't play chess, so I looked at a chart of allowable moves (before I asked the question yesterday). Bishop-diagonal (is this a Bishop?), Rook-one space over any direction, Knight-L shape. I tried this again today after your response about what to do, with no success. Thank you!!

I just got it. I had to think outside the box a bit! Unfortunately, I was not able to capture an image of the figure before the board cleared. Thank you for your help!
