Seriously, why ruining the potential by adding this crap in a historical-ish game!?!?

This looks like a cross between Europa Universalis and a decent turn-based combat game. I LOVE turn-based combat games, but EU and Crusader Kings just overwhelm me with WAY too much complexity. So, how complex is all the stuff in this game besides the combat. And, is the game more focused on strategy, country management, laws, who marries who, caring for your provinces, etc. (all the stuff that makes EU and Crusader Kings WAY complex), or is it more focused on moving armies and fun turn-based combat?...

I understand you'll probably call yourself artists. But surely you should have some business interests and care for your consumers interests. What an absolute miss on mark. The "alternative reality" should come from the player picking a different faction to support. Not from Napoleon being named Cesar, or fighting out of a mechanized robot. Playing as Moderates. Game Told me to get to Charlesville to stop the king from fleeing, which I did and then the King moved into the province, but then I got a text set that showing that he escaped and was able to flee. Did I do something wrong? I am where the game told me to be. Or is it impossible to stop the king fleeing? Thanks for the help!...
