Natural Resource View not showing natural resources
I have a bug in my game that is likely caused by a mod, however I have no idea which mod or how to correct it. I do not know how to export a list of my installed mods so if you need this please let me know how to do it and ill provide one, however I'm thinking the bug is fairly unique so that if you have knowledge of it youll know whats causing it.

The issue is that I cannot see natural resources using the resource view in the game. the entire map appears a solid shade of grey. The panel still tells me how much of each resources is available, but doesnt show where it is. In normal game view I can see where they are just by the change of colour in the ground texture, but thats my only indication. I have also tested that I can paint more/less of each resource type using the "Extra Landscaping Tools" mod, and the areas I do paint work in actual gameplay.

I tested this by painting a brand new area of oil, and then painting an oil industry area, and placing an extractor both within and outside the oil area and confirmed the one inside works while the one outside complains about no natural resources.

This problem is not map specific. I have had this problem for some time now (probably over a year) and to run my test I started a new level on Azure Gulf.

this image shows the extractors and the one outside of the oil resource complaining.

this image is the same view, but with the natural resources view enabled showing it is completely grey regardless of the resource being present.

this image shows the entire map, with the terrain discolouration visible for natural resources (easiest to note the farming one).

https://1drv.ms/u/s!AjtERQRXQHHbn-0sI6i34Aws7fw4uw?e=gCvni1
this image shows the same view, but with the natural resources view enabled showing it is completely grey.

I only just noticed when providing these images that the stats in the natural resources view are not accurate, since the 3rd image shows large amounts of fertile ground but only 1ha is listed in the 4th image. unless this is just because i have not unlocked any map segments other than the starter.

Id like to get this solved as although the industry does function, its really hard to place buildings within the bounds of the resource when the view is completely grey.

(Those who've recently helped me on a problem via a Discussion will probably laugh - this mod helped me and, having been introduced to it, let me introduce it to you....if you don't already know about if of course.)

It will produce a report that will help identify any incompatible mods.

Looking at the file you have multiple incompatible mods.

You don’t need the No Purple mods as you also have the No Radioactive Desert and More mod.

Automatic Bulldoze V2 is broken as well and needs to be unsubscribed.

I suggest checking the mods you have against the incompatible list in one of the pinned threads.

Try verifying game files.

If it's still there, can you start a new city (after having restarted the game so it's a fresh load) on a different map to see if it's the same? You don't have to build anything, just have Unlock All enabled so you can see the resource overlay from the start.

I'm suffering from the same issue. Iris did this ever get resolved?
kiptap Jan 14, 2022 @ 3:08pm
okay, fixed it. got rid of a version or similar to version of No Radioactive Desert. All back to normal. Thank you Avanya for the original suggestions.

For me it was the No Radioactive Desert Mod that was preventing the ground colors to be seen. Simply just go to the mod options and enable them.

The issue is still happening now, wondering if it is the plazas update that broke it again.

No Radioactive Desert And More! cause myn to do the same. Use Pollution Solution instead. Fixed!!!
