Invisible buildings when zooming in and more glitches since update PLEASE HELP
I still have problems with this new update. Already unsubbed and resubbed the important mods which were listed on the Reddit. Restarted several times. Deleted deprecated mods and still these problems. I made a video to see what I mean:

Provide your output.log for analysis.

I remember having this issue. For analysis please upload your output_log.txt file found at <SteamFolder>\SteamApps\common\Cities_Skylines\Cities_Data\output_log.txt and paste it in a free text hosting service such as Pastebin or host it as a .zip file to download. With this log I might be able to track down the errors present in the video.

Are you using this mod? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=940299505
If so, unsubscribe from it. It is broken and causes exactly what you're experiencing.

Do a little search here. Within the last 3-4 days someone found a solution for this and also didn't have AnimUV mod.

Guess what I've been doing the last 5 days.

I guess Stealthy is referring to this discussion: https://steamcommunity.com/app/255710/discussions/0/5219148750787448471/

Apparently the 'FPS Booster' mod is the culprit. Although I've managed to load my heavily modded game I started about 1,5 years ago without problems, and the FPS Booster mod was active...

I turned off FPS Booster, and nothing happened.

I unsubscribed, restarted, and it seems OK now.

I also unsubscribed and started it again. Still the same problem, flickering and grey invisible building squares. :/ I really don't know what else I could do... The discussion MaxFX posted was interesting but nothing helped yet. I just hate those updates to be honest. I dont care if these are for free or not, at least I could play CS before the update, but now nothing works. I just dont get it... Had similar problems when the last update came out last year with Plazas&Promenades.

In my case it was Zoom IT mod

Did you fix the problem? Is the log you've posted from the session where buildings were flickering? I'm asking because I don't see any errors in it and it looks a bit incomplete (looks like it's from the main menu)
Since you use Tree Anarchy, try saving the game under new file, restart game and load that savegame (that was pointed out in the mod description as known issue).

I tried a lot of unsub/subscribing from mods and after 6 times restarting it worked.
I unsubbed:
FPS booster
old Theme Mixer (and subbed to Theme mixer 2.5 stable)
Render It!
Patch Loader Mod

I read that Theme Mixer also can make some problems when it comes to the flickering problem.

without FPS booster it is very stuttering now but better than nothing.

Potential solution ahead!*

Guys, I may have figured it out. This drove me mad and I noticed that the issue was tied indeed to distance or LOD from an unknown item, in certain areas only. I sat in a flickering area and reduced Level of detail in the game's settings, which only worsened the situation. Increasing it helped reduce the afflicted area. Hmm...

I used Move It! to select clusters of props and trees and move them further away from a flickering area. Sure enough, the flickering radius moved with my cluster!

Then came trial-and-error testing, erasing objects by type. It seemed like none of them yielded any results, until I've noticed a very, very peculiar type of tree that I'd erased accidentally, owing to its small size.

Here it is, in all its infamy. [static.wixstatic.com] The name of this devious fiend is "Wild_Hedge_vnl".

It appears to be a base asset from the game, and not a mod, since I can't find it in "Resources".

Caught in the act

Of course, I have gathered evidence to back up my accusation.

Look, this area has a green zone, indicating tree resources are there. But I can't see any such tree! Why don't we peer closer, I'm not wearing my glasses I think.[static.wixstatic.com]

Oh! Not only is there a suspicious tree-less tree area, but now some trees vanished! Still, let's lean in further... [static.wixstatic.com]

WHOA! WHERE DID THOSE COME FROM?!? [static.wixstatic.com]

When viewed up quite close, the effects vanish and any nearby item is displayed properly.

An afflicted area. Feels barren here... [static.wixstatic.com]

By selecting the flickering fowl with Move It!'s selector, we see that there's only one of them, very hard to miss, quite far from the area. [static.wixstatic.com]

Deleting it promply, we may now live free from flicker. [static.wixstatic.com] My expressway is a bit barren still, but that's because I'm not done working there.

Fix

Use BOB to fix this mess efficiently. Open it with Alt+B, select any of the maleficient bushes and replace them all in one fell swoop. Enjoy!

And remember: invasive species may bring doom to your local ecosystem.

* "Potential" as it works for me, and hopefully you too!

Very detailed post. Thanks.

Any chance you could also post your findingson the 'Paradox Interactive Forum'? Considering this is an asset from the game itself and not the Workshop, it is up to CO to fix it.

I guess you could simply link to this thread so you don;t have to write the whole story down again...

Yup, will do. I surmise this only affects Map Pack 2 maps, along with any other city utilizing its trees.

Did a bit of testing and yes, this tree is a Vanilla tree. Guess that's what they meant by "vnl". In hindsight, that was so obvious. Silly me haha.

It also explains why my save didn't have this issue, as I do not have these trees on my map. It also explains why I didn't have this issue with the FPS Booster mod subscribed and activated.

Apparently this mod isn't the culprit. Why some people said the issue was resolved by unsubbing it riddles me now.
