I have read through all the discussion posts since the update and am following most of them
I have tried every proposed fix and nothing works. I have every DLC except the stupid music packs.
EVERYTHING is up to date. All drivers, the game, windows, I have updated every mod. Ran compatibility report and other mods to make sure everything is working, check the stupid broken mods spreadsheet religiously and tried every fresh install method known to man.
No save games work, no amount of reinstalling ♥♥♥♥ works, every time I hit play its a roll of the dice to see if my mods exist or not. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THANK YOU Paradox. Well done again
20 hours invested into 1 city and I have nothing to show for it.
May as well just go be miserable and play vanilla.

6) use this mod (LOM)
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2620852727
7) read the mod pages and include any dependencies
8) start the game and then read the report from the combability mod and fix all mods it tells you. Remove (unsubscribe!) the ones it tells you.
If you done all that we start from there. If you have any question, please ask.

you might need a page file
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2114415052
set it up 3-4x your RAM, make sure you have the space on the disk available.
Honestly, if the game worked fine for OP prior to the update - as in, OP had sufficient ram, and disk space, I doubt that would be the culprit now.
I have most DLC and CCP, just not the latestet.
I have 16GB RAM and 64GB page file to run my game.
I cannot start it without LSM
If you have the 0/0 mods issue, then please restart the game so it can generate a fresh userGameState file and you can start enabling your mods.
I have the same problem. My mods load into the main menu but are always disabled, then they don't load on the next attempt, rinse and repeat. Then there's the fact my saved cities won't load - period. Trying to load on a new, fresh map and that is proving difficult as well.
While this is a good outcome ultimately I do not think this is a reasonable effect of the game simply being updated. And while I have respect for the actual game developers themselves, There must be a better way.
It's fairly unreasonable to expect me to literally spend all my free time over 2 days just to make the game work after an update. Especially with the amount of time (1786 hours in CS) and money I have invested into this game let alone company with all my combined purchases.
There has to be a better way to push updates that don't change things so fundamentally that nothing works after each update. Like how much behind the scenes has to actually change that is ♥♥♥♥♥ everything up with every update?
There needs to be change. There should have been change 6 years ago. But something HAS to change.
