Commercial and offices are mass closing and getting abandoned because of missing workers and industry is closing down because they cant deliver goods to the closed stores and export is maxed out.
I now have 3 times the available jobs to employed citizens and that AFTER half my shops having closed down.
I am at a loss why everyone is leaving. Citizen happiness is 99%+ and my only traffic jams are at my cargo stations.
The irony is now that my economy is getting carried 30% by my universities, since they mostly run off exchange students and my unique factories (15%) that do not care at all about what is happening.
They are still continue building more commercial and then abandoning it, since they cant find any workers, this is crazy.
How is that deleting citizens? Overzoning can only lead to death waves, and I clearly dont have a death wave.

My bad you clearly state that your death rate is falling, Mass exodus is usually caused by lack of services or low land value, ie water, electric, death care etc. Pause the game and try clicking on the abandoned buildings for the reason why.
Edit: I am already back to 170k from 140k with 1k per week. This makes no sense.
If you're lacking workers, then you need to create more workers by zoning more residential.
The game wants +5% unemployment at all times.
I also notice you have a lot of empty zoned roads, do you use an auto bulldoze mod? If so, this is likely causing you, your issues. This hides where your problems are and it can shift the problems around.
You need to regain your RCI meter by dezoning RCI that have no buildings on them. The empty yellow, blue, and green zones counts towards demands, so it thinks you don't need anything, then your demand drops to zero for all bars. Plus it slows the game down as it thinks your city demands are fulfilled and buildings grow slowly and one or two at a time, instead dozens at a time.
I already zoned half the map ages ago.
I know alot of you purist will recoil in horror, but pre planing shouldnt affect city grow in any way.
Any of these mega blocks have their own cargo station, police station, fire station, parks, post office and health buildings. I have all monuments and all unique buildings. The corner of each block has its own metro station (which has 10k weekly travelers and is 90% of my citizen travel) and the main road has a train track ontop of it.
The only thing I cant get under control is endless demand of commercial (before the collapse), even after 50% of my workers were commercial workers and even if every block has 3 parks and I have a 5 star parklife park and all unique buildings, several leisure and tourist districts. They just demand more and more commercial until I run out of workers and then they continue building commercial and abandoning it due to lack of workers.

I also find interesting that regardless of fluctuating citizen numbers, my residential is growing extremly stable.
Edit 2:
Actually commercial was also growing more or less at a stable rate
Edit:
Also these one are pretty weird

Shouldnt influx be stable at the max rate citizens can come into my city through road / plane / boat / train or are they in conflict with incoming tourists, because I have alot of tourists and even more exchange students.
