Forest Brush broke on me
Recently Forest Brush has been giving me an error every time i load a game and the mod is not functional. If i click the icon in the bottom UI it shows that I am using it (the blue circle around what you select on the UI) but nothing pops up nor can I do anything like place down trees. I have already tried unsubscribing and resubscribing and that did nothing new. Any suggestions on what I could do? It's not game breaking, just forest Brush is a mod I use a lot and is very useful to me.

Try this tool. It will allow you to paint more than one tree at a time as well as create other natural resource areas.

You might have a conflicting mod. It works perfectly for me.
Can you give us a list of your mods?

What would be the most efficient way to do that?

this mod makes a report of all of your mods and says if they are compatible or not,
Post the report file on google drive or onedrive and we can have a look at it

Start by trying a clean install of the mod. With the game shut down, unsubscribe the mod, go here: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\255710\ and delete the folder named 1658679290 (if it's still there). Then subscribe to the mod again, let Steam download it and start the game again. Make sure it's installed and enabled, then load a city to test.

Clean install was not successful. Still stuck with the same message.

If you can post your output_log.txt (called player.log on Mac and Linux) somewhere I can take a look at all your mods and potential errors. Hopefully there will be something useful.

Here's where to find the log depending on your operating system. To easily find the local files for the game, right click your game in the Steam library, select Properties, go to the Local Files tab and select Browse local files.

Windows
<SteamFolder>\SteamApps\common\Cities_Skylines\Cities_Data\output_log.txt

Mac OS X
Users/<username>/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

Linux
~/.config/unity3d/Colossal Order/Cities: Skylines/Player.log

As we can't attach files here on Steam, you will need to upload the file somewhere else. Here's a few sites you can upload it to, which do not require you to sign up first:

https://uploadfiles.io/ - free, no sign-up, can handle large log files
https://paste.ee/ - fast, no sign-up required (some log files will be too large for it though)
https://zerobin.net/ - bit clunky, but can handle huge files, no sign-up required

I have been busy doing work and having other problems with unrelated stuff, so apologies for the late reply. :\

You have some old and broken mods, which might be the cause of this. Remove them and get the replacements where possible.

- Demand Master - partially broken, I recommend switching to Super Demand
- No More Purple Pollusion - broken, and you don't need it as you already have No Radioactive Desert and More
- Network Skins - remove this, you already have the newer Network Skins 2. Never have 2 versions of the same mod.
- More Beautification - use Find It 2 instead
- Ploppable RICO - you already have the newer Ploppable RICO Revisited, so remove the old version.
- Plop the Growables - you don't need this with Ploppable RICO Revisited. Make sure to go into options before loading your city, find Ploppable RICO Revisited and enable the options for growables.
- Sharp Junction Angles - old, broken and incompatible with Fine Road Anarchy 2. Just remove this one, you don't need it.
- Roads United: Core+ - incompatible with Roads United: Core 2.0, you never want 2 versions of the same mod.
- Advanced Toolbar - I recommend switching to More Advanced Toolbar
- Rotate Brush - this is broken and why your Forest Brush is acting up
- TM:PE V11 STABLE - not broken, but you already have the LABS version, so this is another case of 2 versions of the same mod. Always make sure to unsubscribe the old one when switching :)

Sorting those should make your game run better and get rid of the error. :)

I also recommend you save this link somewhere, as it has a list of known broken and incompatible mods. Checking mods against this list is a great way to avoid having old and broken mods. :)

I apologize for the long, long wait for me to respond. My computer had to be fixed and everything just went downhill from there. Now whenever I load a new game the game crashes and no information is given. I will be making a separate discussion to keep things clean and organized. I appreciate the assistance and patience from you guys. :)
