Different Road Textures

Hi, everyone.
Any ideas on the best way to have different road and sidewalk textures at the same time, in the same city?!
I usually change them with Theme Mixer, but changes affect the whole city. Is there any way to apply different textures to different parts of the city?

Alternately you can use custom roads, which do not use the map theme's road texture. Here are a few examples of roads, which have their own look no matter the theme.
