The one where you ranted this?

At a guess, I would suggest it was removed because it was a rant and not a topic for discussion. It was not constructive, it was not respectful and it was nothing new.
If you have trouble recalling what it was you said, you should have written it down. This forum is not your personal blog space.
This new topic will also likely disappear if not simply locked.

Oh was I not allowed to say how completely USELESS the Paradox Launcher is?

It's not a topic for discussion is it? At least not one that hasn't already been made plenty of times already by others.
You said your piece and got that off your chest. I'm sure you feel a lot better now. I can still read it. So what's the big deal?
Disputing a forum moderator's decision is just going to score yourself another strike... it's your call.

Well maybe I don’t want to BE on a forum that doesn’t allow me to have my say if it’s already been said before

The Steam Forum Rules and Guidelines apply to every discussion forum on Steam...

Personally, I don't think your post should have been deleted either. It should just have been locked and then it would have been lost to obscurity within a day or so.
Either just deal with the launcher, use it or bypass it using some of the guides to do so. Or move on already, which a lot of more vocal people a few months ago did. There was a popular discusion thread on here that was nothing but people annoyed with the launcher circle jerking each other amd doing nothing but repeating how much they hated tge launcher over and over and over and over, quite frankly it became too turing to look at as people kept bumping it but not adding anyrhing useful nor helpful that burried newet threads that may be more pressing to discuss.

Also Paradox and Cities Skylines isn't the only game that's several years old that suddenly had a launcher tacked on to it recently. Firaxis/2K Games just recently tacked on a useless launcher that is also causing problems with XCOM 2 and people are also in arms against it.

Try reading the pinned post on launcher issues and how to bypass it completely.

This is spot on. The launcher has been discussed over and over again, and the discussions tend to derail into bickering and tangently related topics. Discussing the launcher isn't a problem, but starting with a rant does not lead anywhere constructive - and the responses to your post already had it headed down the drain.

To nudge this thread in a more constructive direction, I'm curious as to what features would make the launcher feel useful to you?

A feature to disable it completely would be helpful, because all it's doing is taking up space on my PC

I looked at doing that and it’s too blooming complicated for me!

Not sure if this works as I've never had the problem on any of my rigs, but hopefuly it does the trick:

Personally, if I have to lose the ability to log off of steam to get rid of launcher, I’ll keep the launcher.
