Inceneration plants suddenly not working + other issues
Nearly all the incineration plants in my city have suddenly stopped sending out garbage trucks, they're saying 0/30 trucks in use for every single plant. There's a huge demand everywhere for garbage collection all over my city and now a wave of buildings (houses, shops) are being abandoned. When I try adding new plants, it stays at 'not operating' and continues not sending out any garbage trucks like the rest.

I also got another problem with the commercial zones, most of them are now saying 'Not enough goods to sell' in red. I tried placing more industrial zone but there's no demand for industry and more demand for commercial and residential zones.

I looked online and it says that a Traffic++v2 mod causes the problem, but I don't have that mod installed. I kept the incineration plants in the exact same place as always and I haven't changed the road layouts before these issues appeared and even now the roads are the same.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Upload your game to the workshop so someone can look at it.
taranbasi Jun 30, 2020 @ 1:27pm
How do I do that?

Go into your Content Manager when you're at the game menu and click the tab labeled "Saved Games." Then click on the save in question and you should see an option to upload it.

Also posting a list of the mods used in that save will help as well.

Thank you, it's all uploaded to my workshop.

It could be a mod affecting things, or you could be hitting the vehicle limit. Those are the two things that come to mind at least.

Easiest way to have a look at all your mods is if you upload your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux) somewhere and drop a link here. This guide explains where to find it and suggests some sites to upload it to, since we can't attach files here on Steam.

To check the vehicle limit, you can add the CSL Show More Limits mod and see how close to the vehicle limit your city is.

Log file is uploaded here, thanks for the guide: https://ufile.io/x3vla2cu

I don't see any mods that should be causing this. Real Time is the only one that does anything to the AI, but even then I would be surprised if it was the cause.

I would definitely get CSL Show More Limits and check how close you are to the vehicle limit.

If you aren't anywhere close to it, go to Content Manager, into Saves and find the save where this happens. Then upload it to the workshop and share the link to it here.

I installed and checked with the CSL show more limits mod, I hit the limit for 25/25 areas and I'm nearly at the limit of vehicles active (around 10 off), everything else is still in the green zone.

and I uploaded the save to my workshop, link is right here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2148740968

That's the reason then.

What should I do to reduce the vehicle limit?
WhiteKnight77 Jul 1, 2020 @ 4:28pm
Do you have plenty of public transportation? Do you have enough ways for cims to get to them or other places without needing a vehicle?
Clunk Jul 1, 2020 @ 7:51pm
This mod doubles your vehicles and parked vehicles allowance.

Efficient public transport to keep citizens from using cars as much as possible helps reduce vehicles in use.

You will also want to make sure that industry has more efficient ways to move goods and raw materials around. Cargo train stations connecting areas, and connecting to larger commercial areas, helps get trucks off the roads. Cargo harbors and airports (If you have Industries) also work for more efficient transport out of your city.

You can also use the mod Clunk linked, but make sure to read the mod description. It's also important to know, that once used you cannot remove that mod from the city again. That means, should it ever break, your city will be lost. Hopefully that won't happen, but it's important to know the risk is there and decide if you can live with it. :)

Nevermind the more vehicles mod fixed all the issues, the vehicle limit was definitely the problem. Thanks Clunk.

That mod's only delaying the inevitable. Fix your traffic issues.
