Sick of unsubscribing from all
So, it seems every time the game updates my game just breaks and it won't let me launch the game anymore. I have lots and lots of assets loaded into the game and the game handles it fine until they update. Typically after each update, I have to unsubscribe from all and restart my subscriptions.

Any advice for this? Any sort of work-around so I don't have to update? Or some way so I can make some sort of folder containing all my assets and mods?

Some people choose to do so, but it's just an option.

I hate the idea of having to find all the goodies I'm subscribed to, so I haven't unsubscribed everything ever. I've removed lots of mods and assets over the years, but I really don't like starting all over again. :P

If you want to give it a go at not starting fresh this time, I suggest checking out this thread and following it in the weeks after release. I will be updating it with information to help others figure out what mods break and need to be removed, so they can get back to playing. And if there's something it doesn't answer, just ask. I'm here to help others with modded games through the update. :)

If there is a new patch for the game or even a DLC, there a few options for you:

Wait a couple of days till all the modders have updated their mods!
Read the discussions and see what people complain about, what is supposedly not working due to the update
check the broken mods list

and all that, while your either not, playing CS at all or you start a plain vanilla city without workshop items and test the new stuff out :)

You could create a 'Collection' and add your assets to that collection list. Not a fix as such, but useful until something better comes along. I should really do the same.

I play with 120 mods and 6,100 assets, all of which are categorized into collections. With a few clicks, I can unsubscribe from everything and with another few clicks and I can resubscribe to all of them. It took a LONG time to create them (days), but it was totally worth it in the long run.

I'll try doing that, i'll make specific organizations. (Cars, Buildings, Mods, etc.) Also the game works now.

While I have all the collections of my "In-Use" assets hidden from the public, you can see all my full collections of assets I've categorized.

I remember when Netwok Extension 2 did not work for a week. It was last year. Then it was fixed. Always check the mod's page after the update, because bugs might be stated there,

Because of an uptade, 2 years ago, I lost 2 of my cities. :(
