Some unique buildings don't light up at night
It makes the skyline look dead. Please Help

My dead skyline at night : The lights are litted up randomly at night. For examble sometimes building A lights up but building don't and vice versa. I want all of them to light up

It's your custom content. Please help yourself.
Either:
Contact the modder who created the asset and ask them to add lighting.
This may be difficult, because many of the older assets that pre-date After Dark weren't able to be lit and their creators may no longer be active.
or,
Use the Asset editor and add lighting to those assets that don't have any.
If you are unwilling to do so, then, you will just have to be more selective in your asset choices.

I mean the assets actually lit up some times but are just not at the same time. Even ones those are post-Afterdark.

This is completely intended behaviour. Most buildings don't have the lights on in all windows all the night.

I've posted about this type of issue before. That example was when I noticed some of the ore extractors didn't light up at night, but others did. It looked very odd, so I posted about it. I don't recall ever getting a definitive answer as to why it was happening. I still see it happen with other dlc buildings.

Apologies for hijacking the OP's thread but I really need some assistance with using the Asset Editor.

Hey grapplehoeker, I need your help regarding editing an Asset in the Asset Editor. But unlike the OP I need to remove a light soirce from an Asset I badly want to uae in my game.

My problem is the Asset seems to have a light source which the Asset's Author has placed outside, beyong the Asset's workspace boundary and I don't know how he did it.

If you plop the thing the first thing you'll notice right away is a black box floating behind it. That's the offending light source. I tried fiddling with the Asset on the Asset Editor but I just can't get to that darned thing. Do I need another supporting mod to get at it?

I tried asking the Author how he did that, see my post on the item's page, but the Author seems to no longer be active.

You're doing the right thing by trying to get the modder to correct it for you. Keep messaging them.

Alternatively, consider getting rid of that horrible asset and make your own mall with billboard props ;)
If I only know how to make 3D models I'd have made my own Assets. As is the best I can do is tweak\update assets in the workshop. I've actually assign Ploppable RICO settings for this particular Mall so it can function as a High Density Commercial building.

Like LemonsterOG, I've noticed some ore extractors not lighting up, bulldozing/recreating fixed it, but trying to find a cause before recreating the whole area.

Also have seen it on other dlc buildings(oil refinery makes no sense when dark), and on some regular harbors. Could the cause be when items are 'cloned' or moved using MoveIt?
