Custom map theme is missing
The game says that custom map theme is missing even if i have the theme. The game seems not able to detect it... Why is this?

I'm having the same problem - Content Manager says I have the custom tropical map theme. I have the blue light on it on the Content Manager List turned on. When I go to the Editors for Maps and look for it (say, when creating a new map) my custom tropical map theme is not showing for me to choose. NOTHING is showing in the custom themes drop-down menu.
The thing is, a few days ago it WAS showing and I was able to apply it to my new map.
NOW, I go to open the map and it is no longer on it.
I go to open the Game that was created from the map when the custom theme was on it, and that same Game (which HAD the theme on it a few days ago) no longer has it on it......what is happening here?
Its OK! Aug 24, 2017 @ 6:35am
Hours of searching these map theme problems and no responses to any posts with the same problems?

Same problem, but resolved by simply cancle back to game menu, then Load -> pick save -> pick theme -> OK whatever. Wont happen after that.

There is a beginners youtube that deals with this issue, you have to make sure all asetts are active then restart the game. He deals with this issue right at the start of the video (30 seconds in to be exact. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rns-_36Kmr0&t=617s

Wait, nevermind.... you just go into the load games thing, choose a map, click the drop-down arrow, select theme, then exit back again; DO NOT CLICK load. Click on the load game thing again, and load up the game. Fixed.

Fixed you say? Are you serious? It is a joke? I have the same problem and it is not solved. Your method is so ridiculous but i have try and it doesn't work.

I had a problem like the one you are all trying to fix .... another user told me about a "bounce" fix he has been using for years for this and I'll try to get it to you in a complete step-by-step. Hopefully it will work for all of you:
Go into the LOAD GAMES menu.
Click on your game, then click on the drop down arrow to pick your custom map theme. If it doesn't show up, click on any other game in the list (do not load it) - at this point, one of two things will happen:
(1) if the custom map theme you want is showing on that game, you can immediately click back onto the game you want - it should then show the custom map you want and allow you to load with it, or.....
(2) If the custom map theme is not showing for the game you bounced into, click on the drop down arrow for the themes on that game and choosethe theme you want. Do NOT load that game. Just click back into the game you want to load with that theme - the theme should show on that game now.
This always works for me. I hope it will work for you folks. If not, my apologies and best wishes.

OH!!! One other thought. I had one instance where the theme I wanted didn't even show up in the drop-down menu .... it stumped me for awhile till I went into the Content Manager and looked it up on those lists (sorry, but I'm working from memory here and cannot remember which list I found it on). I found it was not enabled (the blue light was not clicked on). Once I fixed that, it showed up on the LOAD GAME menu and I was able to work the "bounce" technique the other user showed me.....he says this is just a glitch he's noticed on C:Skylines since he started playing the gme (which, like me, is since it came out). So it's not a problem you've created or a problem with any other mods -- just another of those little idiosyncracies of the game we all have to find "work-arounds" for.....chuckle.......

I have to say I had the same issue and this little trick solved my problem. Thank you
