Krauser Mutant boss battle

Lets see I used all my grenades all my ammo on this one boss with 6 seconds left untill explosion, the gate opening cutscene takes another 3 and when the building blows up I get to do the ♥♥♥♥ing cheap ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss all over again.

I know this sounds stupid but use your knife. The hard part is getting him down to get a decent slash on him but you will find slashing him will finish the fight much quicker than using guns.

Krauser and Leon are knife bros, so it's only fitting to get him with the knife. Shooting his leg also helps to get in that head swipe.

very stupid boss fight.

basically just run and ignore him until he actually comes after you. try watching a walk through vid to see the few times he occassionaly will ambush you (its always in the same place)
at this point, try to get into a corner so he can't jump completely around you like he does has he closes distance toward you.

simply hold out the knife and mash it as he gets near, the TRICK is looking down a bit and slashing his legs the SECOND he goes to trip you by sweeping his leg. you can actually interrupt it and its the only attack of his you can't dodge i think (or at least that never gets a dodge quick time event)
if your knife makes any contact, he'll stumble back. do it once or twice more and he'll flash disappear until you progress further.

Also, don't shoot him at all if you can help it. waste of ammo. the actual boss fight when his arm changes...is just dumb. it is easier to just let him get close and cut him. you can sometimes get in 2 or three swings at once this way. (shooting him to cause his guard to drop takes too long and you usually aren't close enough to get the swing in more than once)
Once you do this knife method exclusively, the fight is over surprisingly quick.

Had the same issue and eventually thought to myself ♥♥♥♥ it ill try the knife and he went down in less than 3 minutes... I was dumbstruck by this because it was so much easier than wasting all my ammunition.

This knife trick worked and killed Krauser in 40 seconds...

You can only win with knife, its get more damage as Magnum for Krauser, but prepair to dodge in right moment if you miss a bit. Good luck man!

I killed Krauser in under 10 seconds using the fully upgraded butterfly to the his right leg.
