I've been looking forward to playing this game for a while, and a friend gifted to me a couple of days ago.

After installing it, I clicked Play only to be greeted by a window that was completely blank which closed after a few seconds.

I've tried uninstalling it, reinstalling it, verifying integrity of game cache, and running in Compatibility Mode

I'm currently using Windows 10.

Specs:
Intel i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60 GHz
32.0 GB RAM
64-bit OPS, x64-based processor

That usually means some graphical setup issue. The game has an INI file somewhere, try to set a resolution there, and maybe activate windowed mode.

GUYS I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ FOUND THE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLUUUUUUUUUUUTTTIONNS

You just need to run it in a 60 hz screen ! mine screen was currently in 120 hz and cant change , so with chance i tested it on a second screen at my work and its workin fine ! with hd and wanted resolution !

so steps

1-go to configuration panel

2-display

3-in the short list to the right "display parameters" (not sure cuz im runnin a french os and traduction is not very good.

4 connect ur second display and choose "extend" in parameter and choose the second screen for primary screen

5-launch the game who will be launch in ur second screen

6-ENJOY THAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME

(I'm french, sorry for my english)
Up ! I have the same problem, but yours solutions don't work for me. My screen is already in 60 Hz :/. I cannot change compatibility (the game writes "Resident Evil must be launch from Steam), I don't find the file "config.ini" in order to open the game with in a window (I just find "config.txt"). And, I don't understand GedoSaTo...

I'm using Windows 8
Intel i5 3230m 2,6 GHz
AMD Radeon 7670m 2 Go
