My 2 cents about this game via Gamepass PC
So yes i dont own the game here etc. However i subbed to gamepass to "try"this game on my system

from all the neg reviews you saved me R3800 (210$ about) for aviator cause i want AN225

But before i start here is my specs (i didnt use my X56 hotas cuase i didnt feel like setting it up all i wanted was to see how it performs)

Monitor
Cooler master 34" 3440X1440 165hz 1ms
Ryzen 7 5800X3D
32GB 3200Mhz Ram (4X 8Gb CL16)
Windows 11 Pro whic is on a Gen 3 nvme just for windows
the games are running on a Transcend 230S 2TB
lots of free space
AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Ref

Now this game according to the game says the settings recommended is ultra okay sure why not lets try it.
It uses 80% GPU and about 70% CPU (more 60s) and just shy of 13gb Vram and 26.5GB Ram

There is no way this is going to run on below 32GB i can understand that.
My interenet is 25Mbits (some of you running on 500) its quiet expensive in south africa had a 50 which was great but 25 is the lowest im willing to go to save some bucks here and there.
What i dont get is why is it only streaming for every damn texture including the plane what is the 50gb down is it the engine? in 2020 we downed the game off steam and then waiting hours to get the rest via in game then we could play just fine.

but once its loaded its cached on c drive (which is dumb should make it same folder as the game whcih ill customise later)
now if i can get 56 frames im luck... in the air 10 000 ft + at airports about 40 frames the B747 i get 38 frames in the cockpit which mind you took 4 mins to load and couldnt control the thing till it was all loaded so i crashed lol

but this game was not needed if its got to do with "saving you HDD space" you know if you can drop this kind of money on the game itself you can drop for a bigger SSD its not that expensive compared to other components just to run this game.

The fact that my machine can get over 100 frames on 2020 vs this nonsense id rather play FSX which is locked to 20 yea old CPU's that even then crapped themselves

The performance is terrible ive seen it on youtube and had to check myself i will not be buying this game till i see some changes like

1;) what is the difference between this and 2020 cause im not seeing it? I can walk around big woop i want to fly could of made that a update on 2020
Streaming textures could of been a update on 2020 with options
2:) Marketplace coming soon... is the game not finished? such a simple feature
3:) no pre downloading of regions... that is dumb
4:) AI planes park into each other at airport... wow i dont think i saw 2020 do that if barley
5:) i cant stress this enough This game was not needed.

Overall im glad it was on gamepass which on PC is a pile of crap in general compared to steam

Dont tell me i got to buy new hardware to run this and i called it when the system specs came out for it it was a joke i honestly think their marketing and development team are just yes men saying yes to the boss without knowing how to do it.

Poorly optimised game (yes its a game yes its a sim but still a game) have no idea how its running on xbox i am assuming well and optimised but on PC my oh my the reviews make a lot of sense.

I even lowered the Settings i booested 10-15 frames but couldnt reach passed 70 frames without it looking like dry toast left in the fridge

If you can't see any difference, don't buy it. Those of us with working eyeballs are enjoying it.

I prefer the streaming to the downloading, but its going to suit casual players with good connections. Gone are the days a super computer mattered for this game. Maybe just go back to FS2020 but I cant see it lasting long now the new one is out.

The fact is with what they are trying to do, simulate the whole planet, streaming is the only real option.

Maybe sell your computer, get a cheaper one and and use the money to get a better connection.

It's not a streaming game. It downloads as needed and caches them for later use. A streaming game would be cloud gaming, which this game is not.

"It uses 80% GPU and about 70% CPU" If the game doesnt use full potential of your hardware then even getting "better" one wont help.
As for streaming they promised you can download planes on your harddrive but the game is not finished so we don't have the option yet, same with downloading manually regions of thw world.

They made physics more realistic on planes, especially on the ground, ground is also not flat and you can find small bumps while riding in grass fields. Career mode was added. The "big changes" that make it a new game for MS/Asobo is that they changed the engine so it apparently runs better and has extra features like seasons and aurora borealis

2:) Marketplace coming soon... is the game not finished? such a simple feature
They used automatic tool to verify which fs2020 planes can work in 2024, tool didn't work so they have to manually check all.

3:) no pre downloading of regions... that is dumb
It was showcased during one of them old streams with Jorg, it's coming one day

4:) AI planes park into each other at airport... wow i dont think i saw 2020 do that if barley
Well in fs2020 for me they just never took off, just went to hold short and then taxi a circle back or do a infinite que, so i guess you get some and you lose some

5:) i cant stress this enough This game was not needed.
Every customer wishes it was fs2020 update. Heck even a 2020 dlc, i agree shouldn't be seperate game

You are mistaken. I for one prefer this game massively over MSFS2020. I am a casual player and this is perfect for me in that I can actually play it instantly. I am not alone in preferring this one either. I wont be buying any planes though, or the game itself lol.

!. gfx fidelity/framerate.
2.not a "simple" feature
3. its coming, patience is key, in the meantime utilise your rolling cache
4. bugs gonna bug. Wait for a fix or turn them off.
5. We might "wish" it was an update but reality is different.

Zero credibility comments, steam does not make the game better than the game pass version.
