The world is over 2 PB. (2000 TB) You can't play offline and get any good quality scenery. I think you will be able to - something was said about that a while back - but I don't think you'd want to.

Purchased a dedicated 2TB NVMe with that in mind, but having hands-on I am not sure you can launch in an offline mode.

And it needs a much better Internet connection then MSFS 2020 demands to stream.

No, it'll work the same. The data is the same coming from the server. The differences will be loading up aircraft or airports. If you don't optionally download them and have slow internet, it will probably affect loading times.

As of right now, it's all streaming. The option to download hasn't appeared that I can find. I'm guessing it'll show up when the servers have less load on them. Once flying, everything streams really well though.

It's simply not true that they could not make this look just as good without requiring a online connection. That 2 PB thing is just a marketing ploy to get you to buy into cloud services. It does not have to be this way and it takes away ownership.

This has been beat to death. I won't argue it... *shrug* But you don't own it anyway. You haven't owned any games you've bought in decades.

I take it you have never purchased a game off GOG.

Nope. No interest. I'd still suggest reading the EULA to see if you actually own it (if you care enough, which admittedly is a tall order). But if you do own it, congrats I guess.

Well you can't tell me I don't read and don't own some of my games then turn around and say you have no interest.

We do not have to buy into cloud services. I imagine most do not care where it comes from as long as it works.

They won't care until they lose access and your $70 - $200 licence gets revoked.

I can and did. Most people think they do, but they don't. In reality it doesn't matter though. Like I said, if you truly own what you buy on GoG, congrats. I still have no interest in GoG. I like all my games in one place. I couldn't care less if I actually own them so long as I can use them whenever I wish. I've been gaming for more than 30 yrs and so far... that's worked out well for me :)

I won't be stupid enough to do something to have that happen. Again, 30+ yrs... Never has happened.

Agreed, this make me can't play this game my country are poor internet connection just 50mbps, I hate this streaming games, better make both option streaming files and offline mode with maybe 2TB storage is fair for me, now SSD 4TB are cheap.
