i know they said after COTW relased there will be no new maps to classic unfortunatley did they change there mind ?

I highly doubt we'll see a new map. Sadly the game is kind of maintenance mode now. We might get some random stuff here and there but the odds of a new map are pretty low.

Far as ive heard they apparently don't know how to make maps with the current system/engine? take that with a grain of salt though.

I think that they are preparing a big step for this game, like engine upgrade, and the we get more opticaly new stuff. I hope!

I think they made announcement long time ago already, that pretty much stated that there won't be new maps but new animals, guns and smaller upgrades like skins can still happen. After that there's been Wood Grouse, sawed up shotgun and some skins. At least this is how I did understand their announcement but some people might have different view.

There are a lot of little things that can be easily added and will change the perspectivr of this game with minimalistic changes, like giving some extra chockes for shotguns, fixing some bugs that are annoying every time like fps drop on a specific map, animals bugging in multiplayer, i really would love to see some changes about the payinf on animals also being a little bit more easy to achive some equipment or guns by gms, maybe some new guns, like a real 30-06 frim Mauser or Sako, a Benelli or Berreta for shotgun section and rifle section, there are small changes and updates that don t change so much in game, another explame would be letting the fast travel unlimited, not waiting 30 minutes in real life, removing the upgradin option for backpack, anyone should be able to gear up how much they want, without the upgrade buy, you can have 2 guns with limited ammo and maybe a rangefinder...

Another one nice to have, the animation for animals killed while running, that could be awesome, really like in real life, but not with glitches like other games..
I hope one day they will make a bigger change, i know the game since 5 years ago, i couldn t play untill 2 months ago, but i saw yt videos and tutorials since long time agi and it s almost the same..
