I prefer grunt callers tho, cuz overtime the bleat caller do be sounding kinna annoying
I see no difference at all.
I will interchange them at time just for fun. To change the immersion.
Thank you.
its more a missunderstanding then disagreement from @Bargearse
.....
as for the deer callers, there should be NO difference.
its the same tooltip info on both and i havent noticed much difference. the grunt just sounds more like a buck if you use it right - a pure roleplay/immersion thing.
the caller itself is just a trigger for a script that then will decide if that animal will go to investigate the source of the call. its not like real, they dont react different, they dont have a memory or experience with hunters.
i use to grunt too, and most times i see a doe first (or more) if a buck is with that group it will be slower/more attentive on aproach, but that is again - just a script!
many adjust to the game with the experience they made playing, thats fine.
many mechanics we describe (wiki or other very experienced players) are never "read in the code", they are assumptions of the experience the players have made.
since the game spawns random, and we walk a different path each game session, there are differences in what we notice.
its more likely but never confirmed by the devs.
.....
Edit: We didn't have immediate confirmation of the effectiveness on deer genders for the grunt and bleat caller back in 2009. The reason I bought both was because I thought that the grunt caller was for male deer only and the bleat caller for female deer only. It feels dumb having both of them now in my inventory. LOL
I hope this does some good for the unbelievers.
you should have one - i have 1 carbon and 3 with wooden stock, and i never bought a 243 ;)
