Halloween event help
So I have been struggling recently on getting werewolves (always charging!) is it possible to get close to them without them charging? Or do they always charge? Another thing is the skulls. Can i find them on any map? Or just timbergold?

Doesn't seem like you can approach the werewolves any other way. The Halloween event is only on Timbergold.

They grunt when they charge but when they are calm they just howl like other wolves. Apply scent eliminator, walk slowly or even sneak. One way or another you'll manage to hear them howling... befor hearing them grunting.

Yeah, I've been trying to do the missions, and I've snuck up on several werewolves. They seem to howl any time you get close. Still hasn't helped me much to complete the missions. Just crouch a lot. All I can tell you.

Hate to say it, but this whole thing feels like a cash-grab.

When charging aim right at theyre head you have a 50/50 chance of either missing the head (Cuz its hard to hitt and small) and getting a body shot wich will most likely not kill it or you will get a full penetrate and get pretty much every organ making it a one shot! Shooting in around its face though has given me just body shots... it takes over 6 body shots to kill a werewolf with silver bullets :/

Only Timbergold Trails. I managed to sneak up on a werewolf by following its trail and calls while crouched. It stood still about 25 m away for a few seconds (I don't have a valid weapon) before seeing me and charging. I didn't find any skulls, either, but I've only spent about 90 minutes in the reserve and walked about 4 km.
when they charge just try and hit them in middle low down often head and vital shots then. not gunna lie i got rinsed quite a few times :steamsalty::steamhappy:

That's the whole point of modern Halloween, a sale/consumption festival of global capitalism.

Lol can't argue, but let's try to keep global socioeconomics in a more serious forum.

I found one of the 666 ones, but I don't see anywhere what the skull points are actually used for. Are they just for some useless leaderboard?

It's listed when you click on the Halloween 2018 banner on TheHunter page, when you start the game. With your 666 skull you got allready the level 1 reward - trophy, hunting tower, face paint and 10 silver bullets. Yes, for free :steamhappy:

Hunting werewolves ? stay out of the trees. When they come through the trees they zig zag like crazy and are almost impossible to hit. Ideally you want the werewolf charging straight at you along a road or across a clearing .Pull you weapon as soon as you hear the long drawn out moan and aim toward the sound. Use the pistol with open sights, wait for them to get about 10 metres from you before you shoot and just aim for centre mass. Because they attack on all fours most succesful shots go head, lungs or heart and on into the intestines. A single lung shot will kill them but you will have to track it quite a long way before you find it dead.
You can avoid them if you stand in water, they wont enter the water during a charge but again they run about berserking before fleeing and are almost impossible to hit.
You may only get about 1 in every 5 encounters when you can get off a good shot. Dont waste ammo, pick your time and carry plenty of med kits.

I single shot one in stomach only (red in organe pic after harvest). Blood trail said 'body' iirc. Droped dead after a short while. (maybe 200m). Shot in intestines will do it too.
