so i killed my first deer. not counting the one in the tutorial. i walked up to him and it said sell for 0$. is this a glitch? it didnt give me anny money when i sold it. please explain

Female deers dont give gm$ only bucks do. for other animals it dosent matter if its male or female for example female bears and i believe reindeers. Or you shot the deer with wrong ammo. mule deers and whitetails. etc can be killed with buckshot, slugs and 243. You can get a lodge by buying it. Doing missions is the easiest way to get allot of gm$ fast. mule deer mission pack and whitetail mission pack are the easiest and doing both of them done can give somewhere around 5000-6000 gm$ or more (not sure the exact amount)

leave em? they are just there to spook kinda and scare of the bucks :p

You buy lodges. You find them in the store inngame called (Trophy Lodges) The only two things you can really do with female deers is either getting more kills or doing missions because some missions tells you to kill female deers.
(Also if you taxidermize an animal when you dont have a lodge. You will be able to putt it upp in the lodge when you get a trophy lodge.) You go into the trophy lodge by pressing E on any of the doors in any outpost.

Harvesting female deer will still increase your shooting skills for the weapons used, and I believe they are still counted as harvests for the specific species. They just won't reward you with any gm$ etc.

The females with no score can be killed to level up your weapons. They don't pay out money though, unless they have a score, like female reindeer and bears, and geese/ducks.

If there are no bucks or other animals around to spook, its not bad idea to kill does by using free .243 or 12 GA buckshot ammo as it is replenished after each hunt - for free. And by killing them you improve your score and achievement in that specie and weapon.
