A Hat in Time

Devs, a way to disable the blur when hitting shift or using weapon wheel selection?
The blur effect here absolutely destroys performance at high resolutions and when forcing AA.
It can cut the framerate in half or drop it by 30-40FPS depending on what's going on. And that keeps me from hitting 60FPS.

Using a GTX 980 here. Happy to post screens if need.

Changing the PP resolution only affects the main game DOF and cutscene DOF. Doesn't affect the blur present in these two uses. Disabling DoF doesn't turn it off either.

It IS nice however to finally have a UE3 game where changing settings actually works and you don't have to disable all of the post processing all together just to remove a few things you don't want. So thanks for that.

Does disabling radial and screen blur not fix it? Or even object motion blur? I only have object motion blur on and haven't noticed any blur.

Why we even need this stupid game-flow breakin radial wheel that ruining games since GTA V?

Cant we just have an OLD SCHOOL looped real time scroll up\down of inventory with tiny hud icon showing up transtion between currently selected hat and next one????

When using a controller you can press the left and right dpad buttons to scroll through the hats and entirely skip the wheel if you want. That's how I've been doing it. So there's three ways total that I know of: choose through the pause menu, use the wheel that slows down time when up, or scroll through with dpad.

This is pretty helpful.

Also, first responder. When you hit right click with the mouse, or hit shift look at the edges outside the highlighted area. The screen is blurred in those areas to show a focus like effect on the wheel/circle.

Did you try that?

1. Go to the configuration file(s) location. (<path-to-game>\HatinTimeGame\Config\)
2. Open HatinTimeSystemSettings.ini.
3. Change DepthofField=True to DepthofField=False.
4. Change AdvancedDepthOfField=True to AdvancedDepthOfField=False.

Unless they changed it, this only disables the main and cutscene DOF. Not the blur aftermentioned
