Battle system is bloody awful in Graces f

It always was unnecessarily complicated as your characters do basic things just like in other action RPGs but unlike those RPGs you constantly fight with the controls. In order to move freely during battles you have to press and hold a button and then you can use your d-pad (arrows). You defend with a button but the same button is also used for dashing around. You move with your dpad (arrows) but also those buttons are used for combos... So annoying

You're supposed to use left or right A-Arts to re-position yourself around the enemy you're fighting and side step / back step to avoid attacks and regenerate CC so you can keep attacking.

Yeah, it's the worst in the entire series. So glad they dumbed it down and made all games after it completely disinteresting.

Many just like to endless spam hits or be stuck in a certain character style (counter, chain attacks), whereas this game heavily rewards mixing between the offense and defense. At times, frustrating, but most of us that played Graces f probably played with training wheels aka Semi-Auto. Once you start to learn how to play Manual, it's a hell of a good time.

Don't use free run. Just run normally and rely on sidestep more.
You can just hold down a direction without letting it go, and just spam the attack button to use attacks/artes that u want.

Haha so true but you have all these fake casual gamers that suck it up like it's the next best thing, but truthfully some people do like some of the newer games and I am not against them liking it I am happy for them that they can see something good in the games we can not, either that or they are all a bunch of liers lieing to us, who knows.
