There is no trouble joining a public match if I am in a party - As long as the party leader is someone other than me, that person can search for and pull me into a match with no problem.
Creating or joining a private match also works fine.
The only problem is that the public playlists do not display. I hope that helps narrow down what the issue could be.
I have just dug out my laptop computer (Windows 7), which hasn't been used in several months. I don't think Rocket League had ever been installed on it. I started it up, updated Steam, installed Rocket League and ran it.
Same problem. I'm logged in but the playlists will not load.
I'm using the laptop over wi fi from the same router that my primary desktop PC is hooked up to (via ethernet cable). I will try to get the laptop to another location in town and see if I have the same issue there.
So, 99% chance this is a network or account-related problem, not hardware or software.
Right. So really this is almost certainly a problem that is related to either our Steam accounts or Rocket League accounts. Some change Psyonix made related to the playlists in the season 4 update that is incompatible with this certain group of people.
Looking at the few .log files that have been posted, the only common factor I've seen so far is that the cloud storage is nearly full for all of us (close to the 100 MB limit), but I doubt that could be the issue because it would be the same for a lot more people.
Only Psyonix would know that, but the only people I've seen report this problem so far (including on Reddit) are PC users.
I hope that helps. Good luck.
I already tried updating to IE 11 on my PC, but that did not fix the problem. Someone else mentioned this as a possible fix earlier.
There may be some other update that needs to be installed, but everything on my PC is up to date, except for one update - KB 2670838 - which is a update related to graphics that could not possibly be the cause of the problem, because all Windows 10 users already have it installed.
You want the log from my computer, right? Not from the party leader?
Here is the log file: https://pastebin.com/xT6Tcp5w
This is what happened:
- I started Rocket League
- Invited a party member
- Made him the party leader
- He searched for a 2v2 casual match, which we both joined
- Once we were in the match and the countdown ended, I quit the match and exited Rocket League
Let me know if that's not what you were looking for. I deleted instances of my Steam username and SteamID from the log file. If you need a clean one I can provide that to you.
