Do People not use Quick Chat Anymore?

Old Vet from when Rocket League first launched. Do people not use Quick Chat anymore? Maybe I'm more enthusiastic to be playing the game, but I haven't been on the game extensively in like two years or so and nobody seems to use Quick Chat anymore.

No "Nice Shot! What a Save! Wow! Thanks!" literally haven't seen anybody use Quick Chat in the last like 10+ hours I've put into the game since coming back to it. Sad to see. I love hyping up anybody, my team or the other team, that is pulling off some wild plays.

You should double-check your settings to make sure you didn't turn off quick chat. Otherwise, if you're in a very low rank, most people might not even know how to use quick chat yet

Some ppl disable quickchat, some ppl don't do quickchat, some ppl spam them, but i definitely use them, especially the team ones: "I got it" "Take the shot" "Defending" "Need boost"

if they didn't read my chats, then it's their problem

yoooooo that was it wow LOL. Idk why it changed my quick chat settings to friends only as I've ALWAYS had it set to everyone but we're in good shape now. Appreciate the call out, I didnt even bother to check to see if there was an issue with that.

Don't use quick chat it's a lure for the creators to ban you, Turn off quick chat and all chat settings the creators encourage toxic behavior but the moment you say one words it's game over, I just got a 167 hour ban for saying 1 word lmfao

Some do use it to mock their opponents;
Some do use it to boost the team morale;
.. And some do unreasonably overreact and spam it, as if they've had way too much energy to spare.

.. I do use it from time to time, usually the lines such as nice one, no way, sorry, and whoops.
Sure, there are moments where I'm indecisive between complimenting players and when not to, but it's far more comfortable to just stay silent and type into the chat in case somebody asks or something.

I do rarely compliment opponents because the game is full of people with the tendency to jump to assumptions just because they feel like it.
If I make a mistake and the opponent follows it up with a perfect dribbling? I do really want to compliment them, but the moment I do that, the entire team will try to get back to me, either by calling me out or by cutting down the passes directed to me.
As for complimenting my team mates? You do have to surprise me. Sounds simple, but is actually very difficult because unlike most players, I'm already having at least six years of experiences in Rocket League, making myself used to all kinds of fancy moves, and therefore not finding them worthy the compliment due to the risk of spoiling the team mate and having them taking more risks than necessary.

I do but only four, really. Nice Shot, Great Pass, What A Save and Thanks. I occasionally use My Fault and Sorry/No Problem.

Edit: Oh, and Defending when I'm not closest on kickoff or we're the same distance.

Exactly. Now it’s clear that you earned your ban friend! I hope you learned your lesson not to say such crazy things at least you are man enough to admit what you did most other people will just make stuff up and pretend they were innocent

No one gets banned because of using quick chat they have a spam timer for a reason

Well a "Ban" is just that a ban, It doesn't effect my life just because someone got sensitive online, if I wanted it to effect my life I would become a streamer and watch how quickly cancel culture takes over for the words I would say but anywho I hope you have a good day/night
