Hello, I highly doubt you will, but please support this on Linux(Would appreciate a native Ubuntu version specifically, for my part.).

They removed official Linux and MacOS support almost 5 years ago. Just in case you do not know;
On Steam you need to use Proton or Wine. From people I know Proton works but not sure which version.

Help article https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/c-Category_RocketLeague/c-RocketLeague_TechnicalSupport/rocket-league-support-for-macos-and-linux-steamos-a000084314:
"If you play Rocket League on Linux, you can try Steam's Proton app or Wine.. These tools are not officially supported by Psyonix. Please see the links to both below."

I do know, I'm asking for a native version.

No.

Why not use a Virtual Windows Desktop?

Proton is a better choice than this. At least for simplicity.

Just using a VM will have a way worse performance hit than using Proton. Only way to not get a huge performance hit is to make a bare metal VM, but that is more technically involved. Which means a lot of people will not want to try their hand at it.

I don't like supporting games that don't support the operating system I use.

Understandable but you can't expect every game to support every os. It's just not realistic.

I'm not expecting it, I asked about it. I'm not even asking for every operating system but the top 3 not including Steam operating system.

I play on linux by years, but you have to use proton from the steam option. The game runs smoother on linux than windows. It worth

Yeah, thank you for the suggestion, but I'm asking specifically for a native version. I wouldn't want to support a game that's not native to my system.
Epic is a cancer.. they kill the Linux version for no reason, trash company

Psyonix before Epic was nice

It's pretty much not worth it for any company to make native Linux ports. Any reason they did have is completely crushed by the fact Valve pushes Proton now. Devs no longer have to deal with the compatibility problems between Distro's and just push out fixes for Proton.

Thanks for the LinuxRuntime here in steam or Flatpak... compatibility between Distros is not a issue anymore

It's actually more simple to make games fit systems better for individual hardware with linux as it's more diverse than windows. And people can customize what drivers and what not they use.

You know all those old games that don't work on windows 10 and 11 any more ? You can still easily play those on linux.
Support for linux should be pretty simple. Especially given that the game was originally made as a linux game.
Same goes for all those unity games out there. When they are cooking the game. They can cook it just as easily for linux natively by checkmarking the "Linux release" instead of the "Windows release" or "Console release".
Linux is not as complicated as the lazy people who haven't even tried it out yet, make it out to be.
